I used to order from the one in Highland Park back when I lived in New Brunswick so I was glad that there was one by my new place in Plainsboro. They have a wide variety of different Asian dishes and the prices are very fair. Quality is pretty good as well and the delivery is very fast. We always get take out from here but the other day, we were both coming from the train station up the street so we decided to stop by in person. I ordered online with a debit card was charged MORE than the total listed on the online receipt. I never received a call or email, and only noticed this two days later when the charge hit my bank account. When I called to get an explanation, I was initially hung up on. When I called back, the person that I spoke with said that there is a problem with their online ordering but it is "too hard" to fix it. When I asked for a refund of the overcharge, she became rude and belligerent, and told me to never order from their store again. WOW! As a long time customer, I was shocked. I always get the Bento box with the shrimp tempura and siomai. The service is very swift and I love their siomai especially. The bento box is very filling. My only complaint would be that whenever I come to pick up my food, the tempura is no longer crunchy. I'm guessing they make it so ahead of time that by the time I get there (which is in approx. 15-20 mins), it's no longer warm. Also, it's possible that the steam trapped in the bento box made it slightly soggy. It's rather obvious that the tempura they use isn't from scratch, it seems like the kind you get from the frozen food aisle. Other than that, I do enjoy all the other aspects of the meal. read more

The absolute easiest way for a restaurant to lose my business is to not be open during its posted hours of operation - it's hugely disrespectful. Not a fan of the chicken with broccoli or the shumai but the restaurants biggest down fall is their delivery time usually they take 30-50min and I'm only 7min away from the restaurant . We ordered something and the delivered. But one person's box was missing. When we call back to confirm, they yell at me on the phone and keeping saying that "No. You did not order that." "Are you sure it is not taken by someone else?" ...... For like 5 mins without confirming this. After a few minute's yelling and shouting and screaming, and criticising us. Sultan Wok is the default Chinese delivery place for my work and for many other places in Princeton. Their lunch specials are a bargain with entree + rice + egg roll for about $5.50. Despite what their menus or websites say, there always a minimum order amount and they will always charge you a delivery fee, despite how much you order. The price you end up paying is also suspiciously higher than the prices you see on the menu and website. Generally their menus are a little bit more up to date than their websites though in terms of pricing. Only eat here if you have no other choice. read more

Waited almost an HOUR for 2 small servings of sweet & sour shrimp and chicken. portions were tiny, shrimp was undercooked in some pieces and over in others, and tasted straight from freezer, chicken was ok. The food itself is just passable, other than condescendingly telling me that "chow mein" in NJ is in fact not a noodle dish but a noodle-less dish with vegetables. It was just mildly amusing hearing this, being a Chinese American that knows what "chow mein" literally translates to. My main gripe with this place would be the rude, unapologetic staff (well, the delivery guy was nice at least). Twice now I have been charged MORE than what their site had said (the online order had already included charges for tax, delivery, and tip), and a call to inquire about this bizarre (and seemingly illegal) event was met with unapologetic communication that their site prices need to be updated; the second order had been at least 1-2 years after the first, so it appears they have no intention of updating their site and will merrily continue to scam customers out of a couple extra bucks with each order. So I'm a customer. I am a student at High School South. Every year we order from this place in bulk for our annual China Night. We order about 100+ meals of Lo Mein, Beef and rice, and Chicken dishes, give or take a few orders. I was not satisfied with this years quality of food. What set me to write this review was the fact that on friday my friends and I decided to order food because we stayed after for the annual SASSA show. Anyway, we placed an order for Vegetable Lo Mein, and we got vegetables dish. The best description of the dish would be hot water with vegetables, with a can of MSG added. I'm not kidding about the water, it filled half the box. Anyway I called the place to let them know, of the mix up, and I expected some sort of polite "oh it wont happen next time", or "I'm sorry let me compensate you guys for the mix up." Instead I received on the other line was a lady saying "Its your fault, the way you said your order made it so we gave you the right order." Then she hung up. Thats not how you treat a hungry customer. Lady, this is how you lose customers. Chinese club will be looking for a new place next year Also, lay of the MSG, you added way too much. Kevin (the person on the other end of the phone) decides to start aggressively telling me that I ordered wrong. I explained that we would have never ordered that, the person has seafood allergies, perhaps you heard the order incorrectly Kevin, "Chicken and String beans and a shrimp roll" comes close to "chicken and shrimp sauce". Kevin does not care, "the customer is always wrong", he yells! No refund! Cops were called, Visa was called....and all we wanted was lunch. No customer service, no business acumen. I really saw this place as a decent American version of Chinese food the first time I ate here. I noticed they have a poor attitude and are not very friendly but I looked past that. I have however decided this place is a no go. The second time I came here they messed up my order and their chicken did not taste fresh at all. The last time I ordered, I found a piece of metal scrubber in my food. As soon as I found it, I spit everything out and threw it away. The metal matched the scrubber I had in my sink.
