We reached out to Wanderlust Years Travel and got in contact with Amber who did such an exceptional job at finding all the top-visited locations on Maui. We ended up going on harbor cruises, zip-lining, a luau, finding the best restaurants, and shaved ice shops, she even found a hidden hiking trail for us that apparently only the natives know about. I am thoroughly impressed with her dedication, determination, positive bubbly demeanor, and commitment to fulfilling all of her client's requests and more. One room with a queen and the other with a queen and two bunk beds. The problem I have is the cleanliness of the cabin. Especially during these 'covid times' it looks as if it wasn't cleaned at all before we checked in. There was a towel, a sheet, multiple socks and water bottles under the bunk beds. Lots of spiderwebs on the ceiling and the floor was dirty, to where I swept it all with a broom I found outside. Our cabin had tile flooring, which got pretty cold. The heater really cranked tho and did heat the place well, so that worked out. Not sure if I'd stay again tho based on the lack of cleaning.

There was a fireplace so we got some wood from the front desk. The place is somewhat equipped. I didn't find the hair dryer though so you may want to bring yours. Other than that, it has the bare essential for a cooking night. The place has a bunch of cabins of all sizes. It is adorable and super accessible. Only a few minutes away from the Village. We were a few days away from closing escrow on a house in Big Bear when we started looking for property management companies. Based on the 100% positive yelp reviews and great initial conversation with Miguel, we decided to go with CA Mountain Rentals to help us manage the property. Immediately paid off. The day after we signed paperwork with him (which was also the day we were to transfer the funds and close escrow on the house), Miguel decided he wanted to stop by the new place to check it out (a testament to his thorough nature... we didn't ask him to stop by, he just did). When he did, he noticed something that our realtor, property inspector, and seller/sellers agent all failed to mention or notice... the fact that both the parking spots and a decent portion of the stairs were built on city property, meaning it would not be allowed in the vacation rental program (a big part of the equation for us), and the city could tell us at anytime that we needed to rip the stairs down and move THE MOUNTAIN about 12 feet back, probably a 6 figure, months long project! After confirming this with the city (also coordinated by Miguel), we were able to get our deposit back and walk away. We were roughly an hour from going to the bank to wire the money when Miguel called to let us know. Major bullet dodged. Original real estate agent fired. Enter EXP realty. Working with Miguel & Amber on the real estate purchase side was equally fruitful and easy. They were incredibly responsive & insightful about the local market, introduced us to contractors, and even went by the local Spectrum office for us to help get internet setup when the corporate office was being uncooperative! We just closed escrow on a new (and much nicer) house 60 days later and couldn't be happier. Needless to say, they've gone above and beyond and it's been a pleasure to work with them. We couldn't recommend them highly enough, and look forward to doing business with them for a long time.

We hired Megan as our day-of coordinator, and her price was so fair it made us a little nervous at first because usually you get what you pay for, right? But Megan completely blew us away. Don't let her size or age fool you she's an absolute powerhouse and a total rockstar. We had a ton of tables, decorations, and little details to set up on the day of, and Megan kept reassuring us she could handle it all. We hesitated, but we put our trust in her and she delivered beyond anything we could've hoped for. She somehow managed to get everything set up perfectly while still being available for every question, every little thing we needed throughout the day. She wasn't just doing a job; she genuinely cared and showed up for us in a way that felt like we had a trusted friend by our side. Then the rain hit during our reception. My wife and I were starting to lose it, but Megan stayed calm and steady. She pulled up this detailed weather app, helped us time our photos and speeches perfectly between the downpours, and kept our spirits up when we felt like giving up. Honestly, without her, that rain could have ruined the day but Megan made it feel like just another part of the story. On top of all that, she stayed after we left to help clean up, making sure everything was wrapped up beautifully. Megan went above and beyond in every way possible. We had a peaceful two night stay at the Cozy Hollow Lodge…read more After an easy check in we parked near our lodge. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable and soft. Our room had a fire place and for $6 we were able too purchase fire wood. The room had very few toiletries so be prepared and bring your own. I loved the porch each room has. I liked that It had a fridge but not microwave. I could hear our neighbors in the other room but It was minor. Same goes for the street noise level. As for myself It did not seem to bother me at all. Outdoor premises has a playground and barbecue Pits. Big plus is that the village is within walking distance.
