Once you enter there's a representative behind the counter that asks how he/she can help and asks for your membership card or membership number, phone number. We had an insurance issue so once we were checked in we sat in the waiting area and waited to be called. This location also allows you to handle DMV concerns, travel agency help, and notary services, to include a few of the services they offer. They also offer maps, books, and student driver services. Unfortunately, the wait was long. We waited for forty-five minutes before getting called back. The issue was resolved quickly and only took a quick signature (less than five minutes). While the employees are friendly enough it would be great if they had a system that told customers how long the wait would be. I've seen other companies have a ticket process that seems to work well. Customers don't get their expectations up and know the realistic wait time, based on whatever number they pulled. My previous experiences with this locations's DMV have always been great. Notary services have been so-so. I don't have insurance with AAA but my experience with this department has been okay. Overall three stars is appropriate.

We decided early that we wanted a destination wedding, but the world offers many options, and the task to pick a location seemed daunting. Even after we decided on a country (Mexico), the wedding planning task was still daunting to do on our own because there were so many options within that country, so we decided it would be best to seek the help of a professional. We found Sheila on The Knot, and after reading a little more about her, we decided to contact her. Part of requesting a consultation involved filling out a questionnaire that asked for several of our preferences, and during our first phone conversation, she asked us to elaborate on our responses to that questionnaire. Some of our preferences included the following: 1) all-inclusive resort, 2) family-friendly, and 3) affordability for us and our guests. Following the phone conversation, she emailed a few suggestions based on our preferences, and we looked into the offerings of each by exploring their websites and YouTube reviews by other travelers. One of those resorts actually met all three of our major preferences, and as soon as we confirmed our choice, Sheila went into action. She immediately set up a website for us to share with our guests. After a round of feedback from us, the website was launched, and our guests used it to contact her, and she essentially served as their travel agent. She helped our guests book room reservations, flights, group transportation between the hotel and resort, and excursions (if desired by the guest). She helped all of our 55 guests, including accommodating families to be near each other at the resort (and this resort was VERY large). Regarding our wedding, she helped us communicate with the appropriate wedding planning personnel at the resort. Whenever any issues arose, Sheila served as our advocate to help us communicate our needs with the resort. And throughout the trip, she threw in a few pleasant unexpected wedding surprises for us here and there. Our only criticism is that she could not join us as one of our wedding guests; she is such a pleasant person, and we wish she could have been there to enjoy the fruits of her labor. The least we can do is thank her and recommend other couples to seek her assistance with destination wedding planning. We hope she'll consider helping us again for our next romantic getaway.

I've since referred her to multiple close friends because of the quality of her work. From our initial call, I was a bit skeptical about working with a honeymoon planner. I didn't even realize that was an actual vendor! When wedding planning, it's easy to get caught in markups, people trying to sell you anything, and the general hubbub of it all. But Shiela was a true professional, she answered my questions thoughtfully and carefully, and completely changed my mind during that first call. What I initially thought was a service we didn't need quickly became something we were excited to continue using for all of our future trips. She handled all of our accommodations, bookings, tours, and hotels. She even left notes for hotel staff letting them know it was our honeymoon and gave us insider tips and tricks for places she had visited herself. It was such a joy working with Shiela, she gladly worked through the iterative process of adjusting our honeymoon to be exactly what we wanted. No frills, no complaints. Just clear communication and total professionalism. Like I mentioned, we refer her to many friends now. We used her for our honeymoon last year and had an amazing time in both Croatia and Slovenia enjoying such a unique and romantic trip. Now we now have memories that will last a lifetime. I really wanted to like this place but it was a disaster from start to finish…read more We drove all the way up to Big Bear and got there at 4:10 for our 4pm check-in. The cleaners didn't show up until 4:20. We had to leave and come back, and didn't actually get into Chalet Des Ours until after 5:30pm which completely threw off our first night since we had dinner plans. The door locks were broken - like actually broken. Every single time we left the house we had to yank the doors super hard to get them to lock and even then we weren't sure if they were actually secure. We were genuinely worried someone would break in and steal our stuff. How is this even allowed to be rented out with non-functioning locks? Then after we checked out they hit us with a $95 charge claiming we left the hot tub dirty. The water was cloudy when we got there that first night - looked exactly like their photo. We only used it twice, covered it both times, and put the temp back down like we found it. We were only there 2 nights. But of course we didn't think to take photos when we arrived because we didn't expect to be blamed for their poor maintenance. The whole thing felt like they don't actually take care of Chalet Des Ours and then charge guests when things go wrong. Between the late access, broken locks, and getting blamed for a dirty hot tub that was already dirty, I can't recommend this place. There are way better rentals in Big Bear where the owners actually care about keeping things maintained and not screwing over their guests
