I drove here not realizing it was appointment only (which I clearly overlooked on the Yelp page, no…read morefault to the establishment themselves) My GPS initially took me to the back of their building. It took a little driving around to figure out how to enter the parking lot and parking spaces are a bit tight. After realizing my mistake, I logged onto their website through Yelp to check the booking process. I was relieved to find the booking platform was user-friendly, which allowed me to quickly book the first available appointment (Regular pedicure with French) they had for the afternoon (12:45 PM). Shortly after booking, I did receive a text message confirmation of my appointment. I decided to find somewhere to grab a bite to eat before returning for my appointment time. When I returned I was quickly checked in by their receptionist and brought back to the pedicure chairs. I was greeted nicely but the pedicurist didn't introduce herself so I can't confirm her name, but online it said my appointment was with Lissa. There was one client leaving when I arrived and another getting a manicure. The salon is very spacious and clean. A very strong citrus scent fills the building. Very light spa music played in the background throughout my visit. The TV plays videos of various island resort beaches. The gel polish removal process was very natural. No drill was used. From there she proceeded with my pedicure which was ok. She was very gentle in handling my feet and legs. I was a bit disappointed at the cold pedicure water and there were no jets or bubbles but maybe that's included with the higher priced pedicure options. This salon is DEAD SILENT lol like you can hear a pin drop in here. Very different than what I am use to. Lissa did a good job of cleaning the nail beds and achieving my desired length and shape. The outcome of the French was also just ok. I personally didn't really care for how thin the French on my big toes were but all other nails came out flawless. Their pedicure chairs are some of the most comfortable I've experienced. The massage is gentle and doesn't violently knead your back while the chairs themselves hug you like a glove. I don't know if I would return but I would definitely recommend to anyone who lives close by. Especially anyone very big on natural nail restoration. My total was $56.65 not including tip. My itemized bill was conveniently emailed to me within minutes of checking out.

I first started going to European Wax Center in 2013, having had countless waxers throughout my…read moretime of going. I have never had such a negative experience as I had this week at this location. When I got in, I was brought back to the room for a full-leg service. I was immediately asked if I wanted to take advantage of the Brazilian wax special, to which I declined. I was then asked if I at least had the wax pass, which I said no I do not, and I'm not interested in dropping a larger amount of money right now, I'd rather just pay monthly. The waxer then said "so you're okay with paying full price?" And I said yeah, it just makes more sense to me financially. By this point, I was already in an uncomfortable position as I'm laying on the table and she's giving me a judgy tone about my financial decisions. The waxer continued to try and talk about the wax pass to which I then asked her to please stop as I will get irritated. She then went silent on me, and I could tell she was rushing to do my legs and when she was done in half the time than in normally takes, I looked at down and saw a very poor waxing job. I asked if she could touch some spots up, to which to said "well you don't put your legs in the proper position for waxing". However, throughout the entire service I was never told when she wanted to move my legs in certain ways for her to get to spots. I told her she could have said how she wanted my legs to be position, and claimed I was being very rude for the way I didn't want to talk about the wax pass, and that she was ending my service. She proceeded to go into the lobby (in front of another customer) and says "don't rebook this client" to the lady at the desk. When I told the desk lady what had happened to the best of my ability because I was so overwhelmed, she profusely apologized to me, immediately said she would comp my service, and offered for the wax manager to do touch-ups. I declined, as I just wanted to leave. I wasn't going to leave this review since the lady at the desk was very sweet to me and seemed to actually care about how I was feeling, and said I would be comped for having such a negative experience. However, today I went to a different EWC location to get my legs touched up, I paid the price of a half-leg service ($55) which I was fine with since about half of my legs were still unwaxed after yesterday. A couple hours later, I got a call from the manager from this location saying I have an open balance for $80 and asked me to describe everything that had happened. I reiterated the entire story, to which she apologized, but said to "put myself in her (the waxer's) shoes". She proceeded to tell me that the waxer said when I texting on my phone (I was texting my friends about how uncomfortable I was), she looked at what I was typing and claimed I typed that she was a "b****" (I didn't). I told the manager that not only was that not true but makes the situation even more unprofessional because she should be fulfilling the service, not worrying about who or what I'm texting. The manager proceeded to say that "they aren't allowed to comp services" even though I was told yesterday something completely different. So I asked "Was I lied to?" And I was told "No, she just didn't know we can't comp services," and that I could've stopped the service at any time and requested a different waxer, like she was excusing my waxer's attitude. So I ended up paying $135 for the worst wax experience I have ever had in 13 years, since I didn't want to stay and get a touch-up in such an uncomfortable space. If I wouldve known I had to have paid the $80 anyway, I would have come back to the same location a day or two later for a touch-up. Generally, I do have good experiences at European Wax Centers which is why I have been going for so long. So if you want to go here, the only thing I recommend is not booking with Sam unless you want to be treated rudely and have the manager call the interaction a "miscommunication."

A deposit was required. Upon my first visit to Devotional Day Spa I got a little turned around locating the building in the mix downtown but after asking a valet he pointed me in the right direction. The salon suite Carlissa works out of is quiet and clean. She was still with a client at the time of my appointment but sincerely apologized and let me know that is not how she normally operates. She even offered her high frequency treatment to me for free for the inconvenience (normally $65). Her customer service and effort toward customer satisfaction is top notch for sure, especially not knowing if I would be a returning client or not. Well I am! On my second visit Carlissa gave me a full size bottle of face wash to try for free. She continuously recommends and refers products and offers skin care suggestions based off of my skin type and the information I give her about my day to day struggles. I will continue to allow Carlissa to work with me to control and maintain my healthy and glowing skin.

One of the most unprofessional nail spas I've EVER been to. I was happy they could get 2 of us in…read morewithout much notice, but looking back, we would've been better off just not getting our nails done. To start off with, every single color I picked was "unavailable"-same for the person I was with. Had to pick 5 colors each for our hands, before they found one they had; and did not have any "matching" colors for our feet. I've never been anywhere with so few colors available. The staff was yelling to each other the ENTIRE time, over clients, from table to table, about their personal lives. They were at one point ordering pizza and eating in front of everyone, running to the back to grab more food while you washed your hands for 0.02 seconds. They were pretty rude to other customers at the spa- I watched one girl come in 5 minutes late, and they argued in front of her if they'd have time to do her nails. They all fought with each other about who would actually do her toes and her fingernails, as no one wanted to. One lady offered to stay late to finish them, and was told no, she was late to her appt so too bad. All of this at volume 50, in front of her- way to make her (and all of us) feel awkward. Just very, very unprofessional- I don't know how else to explain it. I told my technician the entire time she was doing my feet that she was hurting me (making my cuticles bleed), and was told "well the instrument is sharp". She was very distracted the entire time during my pedicure. Very painful. Service was slowwwww, prepare to spend hours there. When my technician went to scan my credit card, her phone died (after taking 10 minutes to set up the payment). All of a sudden the owner came over, and entered it on her phone- which was now a higher price!!! I was so frustrated, I paid it and left (of course, they "didn't know why it was higher the second time", when I inquired). I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Looking back, I'm hoping everyone there has a license to do nails, as no licenses are displayed on the walls. Save yourself the time and money, go to ANY other nail salon in the area. Don't know how this salon has been around as long as it has, what a joke. EDIT UPDATE- Business owner denying any of this true, and that's ok. I have no reason to make up having limited gel colors, eating pizza in front of everyone, and being unprofessional. Look at my Yelp history, plenty of reviews, for several years. You'll notice most of the people leaving "positive" reviews on this account have NO prior Yelp reviews (they are her friends or family). Disappointing when a business can't even hold themselves accountable.

The woman doing my pedicure rushed through the process and kept checking the time. Almost finished with my toes, another technician approached me, eager to start on my manicure. I told her I wanted an overlay with tips and gel polish, but she suggested trying Gel-X instead, claiming it was better. To my surprise, it turned out to be just an Amazon polygel kit. She completed my nails, and when it came time to pay, a service that was listed as $90 ended up costing me $130! I paid and tipped, only to have two nails come off the very next day when I buttoned my shirt. In short, while the salon looks fancy, it's not worth it. You might as well go to your neighborhood nail salon.
