Super Sushi - Interior view: Notice the interior roof cornice design and matching watercolor painting framed in green. Lovely.

Excellent value, for only £17, you can choose anything from the menu and there are over 70 choices, from nigiri, temkai, varies Katsu dishes to fried udon. You name it, they probably have it. This is my 2nd time in this restaurant and the quality has been nothing but very high standard. Will definitely recommend this to anyone who are a big fan of Japs food

The surroundings are far from posh - like old fashioned gritty, not post gentrification fake gritty. If you're willing to go on the train, though, happy days. Super Sushi's "all you can eat" menu is as good as you'll get for the price. And the price is really great. For the same $ as a cheap main course on a typical japanese restaurant you can park yourself here and eat for 1h45m solid. The restaurant is a bit dark and not too noisy; good for a date if you're past that phase when pigging out in front of them is a no-no. The deal is simple: they'll bring you a list (a wide sheet of paper with hot/cold dishes on both sides) and you tick whatever it is you'd like - maximum 6 items per round; do bring a mate but not several, in order to maximise calorie intake. :) They'll bring the food quickly and give back the list, where you'll pick another six. I always start with a temaki and some nigiri; if you want yellowfin you'll pay a little extra but I never bother as the other fishes are just fine. Next I'd have the yakitori and wasabi prawns because that wasabi sauce is amazing and wasabi rush is my favourite legal high. Garlic fried rice goes well with chicken/pork katsu or teriyaki. The tempura sweet potatoes are good, but be careful because you'll get 5 thick slices and they can be very filling. Remember, you have almost two hours to fill up... To finish I get more nigiri, some uramakis and finally sashimi as "dessert" - BUT mind that the only fish included on the all you can eat price is salmon; all the others charge extra. Minus points: the karaage I had just once and it wasn't their best; the chicken was strangely fatty and sinewy. I don't rate the ramen highly either; I'd stick with the rice here. I wouldn't say this is the BEST japanese in London (might not even be the best one in Chingford; I stand to be corrected here), but it's delicious enough, there is no service charge, the beer is cold, the staff is lovely and friendly and you'll leave happy and almost too full to walk back to whatever form of transport you hopped on to get here. Oh, they do have a la carte menu, but most everyone just go for the fixed price. Up to you, though. :)

The vibe is great: moody and chill in terms of decor, lighting and the music. The music was at the perfect volume when we arrived at 7- good for talking, even with us seated almost next to the DJ- and the volume increased just slightly as the evening rolled on. Atmospheric vibes were conducive to a conversation which is exactly what we wanted: not having to shout to hear each other. The service was very good. The drinks great: my smash cocktail was potent and lovely: a bit herbal with strong gin flavour, with a touch of sweetness. My husband appreciated his bold whiskey and my friend her orange wine. The serving portions are generous for the price so massive applause there! A very large bowl of padron peppers and fried chicken, and my big bowl of nasu (aubergine) pleased me with its size, utterly delicious miso flavour, and texture. Likewise my oyster mushrooms. I was perfectly sated after. My friend's dragon roll was huge!! It's definitely not cheap but my friend's work covered half the bill. I would return.

For his birthday, my friend's only wish was to come here for an omakase and I cannot stop thinking…read moreabout it! I had to make about 200 calls to get a reservation but it was worth it. There are two sittings for omakase each day, one at 5:30PM and one at 8:30PM. The interior is very intimate and each sitting serves 7 people only. Bookings are made at least two weeks to one month in advance depending on their policy which changes from time to time. They only accept reservations through phone calls and based on my experience, it was pretty hard to get through so I'd definitely recommend reading through their website for what to do to secure yourself a reservation. My friend and I both got the sushi & sashimi omakase, which comes with three plates of sashimi, 7 pieces of sushi (all seasonally selected!) and a sweet tamago at the end. The sashimi and sushi are all seasonally selected and exotic! I got to try gurnard and turbot sushi which I've never had raw before! The fish is not only high quality and delicious but prepped and presented beautifully too. The variety of condiments selected for each sushi was carefully thought out, elevating each mouthful. The service was impeccable as was the food. The chef's wife and the waiters always came to check-in with us and walk us through the proper dining etiquette. Under the chef's wife's recommendation, we also shared some sake and plum wine. It was lovely watching the chef prep and make each piece of sushi, exhibiting his intent and passion with every movement. The whole session lasted a little over 2 hours and we enjoyed every bit of it! I highly recommend checking out Sushi Tetsu at least once in your life! Not to mention the omakase was only for £96 (excluding alcohol and any service charge), which is cheap for the amount of food you get and cheaper than many other omakase meals found in London.

I had a combination of octopus sashimi, tuna sashimi, squid nigiri, sweet shrimp nigiri, jumbo shrimp nigiri, scallops nigiri, tuna rolls, razor clam rolls and yellowtail hand roll. Everything was remarkably fresh and perfect, down to every ratio of sushi to rice and the temperature. Afterwards, we commented whether we would ever be able to have sushi elsewhere. Ambience was very cozy and intimate. Maximum seating of seven seats, hence very difficult to get a spot. Felt like I was in a local restaurant in the heart of Tokyo. Perfect for an intimate date or professional meal. Service was also top notch. At times, I felt they were a bit too mechanical, but I guess precision and propriety are part of the Japanese experience. Would go back in a heartbeat.

For those of you who know my reviews, you know that I only give one or five stars. This place gets…read morethe full five stars! Here's why. When I got to my hotel, I asked the man who checked me in for a recommendation of a good place to eat, so I responded to him with a question. I asked him if he were not working right now, and were out with his mates, where would he choose to eat? He looked at me with big eyes and asked really? I told him emphatically yes! He asked me if there was any food I didn't like, and I told him if I ever missed food, I didn't understand the question. So he told me to try this place, and asked if I was OK to go for a little walk. I was happy to. When I walked into this place I found it to be a corner neighborhood, fish and chip shop and it was very busy. To me this is a very good sign. I got there about 6:30, and I got desk clerk friend recommended, which was the fried sausage with chips and some curry sauce. I also added a cod fillet because I wanted to try the fish as well. The curry sauce and the sausage together were amazing! Oh, did I mention that the curry sauce was amazing?! Oh ya, I already told you how amazing the curry sauce was!! The fish was very good as well, the chips were spot on, and the curry sauce lifted everything on the plate to a new level for me. The curry sauce was nice and spicy and had a very full and rich flavor. As I sat and ate my meal, the place continued to bustle with people coming and going taking away food, and a few people sat down and ate as well. There are only a few tables in the place but they were all full the entire time I ate there and they must've served a dozen customers during the time that I ate. This place gets full marks for friendly service, smiling faces, EXCELLENT food, and all around great experience. Thank you for a wonderful meal. It is definitely a neighborhood staple and has a quaint ambience. A little out of the way for most casual eaters but if you want a delicious sausage, with curry sauce, look no further! Just GO for the curry sauce and stay for everything else!

They also do things like mushy peas and curry sauce along with the usual pasties and pies and saveloys. The place is always clean and the staff are well presented. Watch out for traffic wardens if you are in a vehicle as they hide along this stretch.
