Both artists are originally from Orlando, but have now made the Emerald Coast their home. They used a hybrid of air brush and brush painting techniques. I love the whimsy of these flamingos splashing in the water which pools out onto the concrete! I wonder why the artists painted the background that looks like wallpaper rather than with trees? But then again, I think the trees would not fit to scale because the flamingoes are way larger than life! These are some gigantic birds! You can view the "Greetings From Destin, FLA" mural on the opposing building's wall. If you want to see this mural in person, it is located at the Destin Commons, a shopping center. You can find it between Build-A-Bear and Abercrombie & Fitch. The parking lot closest to this mural is the one near the AMC Movie Theatre.
