Meeting extended family during this visit to Germany & we decided on Kulturcafe…read more I liked the outside tables & umbrellas so we could sit on the square & enjoy the rare sunny afternoon. I did not however, much care for all the people begging for money around the area & coming up to our table but this must be standard since the family just brushed them away & weren't shocked so I let them handle it.......this is of course no fault of the restaurant but just something to note. If you will be sitting at any of the tables, in any of the restaurants on The Square, people will approach you for money We enjoyed the most lovely baked goat cheese & even though this was listed as a starter dish, it was huge......the cheese was so smooth & creamy & had that nice tart after-bite that makes goat cheese so delicious Beers before & espressos after, we took full advantage of the wonderful afternoon & this was a great setting to meet my new extended family.....we're huge fans!

My go-to place in this town!!…read more Great atmosphere--especially in summer. The restaurant is right in the heart of downtown and has a really beautiful terrace. They offer a menu with regional staples plus a seasonal menu that changes with the seasons and always includes super creative options. Literally everyone will find something here: meat lovers, vegetarians/vegans, fans of traditional dishes, or those into trendy, health-focused food. It's also perfect for an afternoon coffee and cake or just drinks at night. Also we never had to wait longer for 10-20 minutes for a table even tho this place is always packed. Service is also super friendly and quick. Never had long waiting times to order or getting drinks/ food.
