They also offer a breakfast/brunch buffet on the weekends, and this was her motivation for coming here. Service was a little slow around 11:40 and a line was forming. We were near the start, so our wait wasn't too long and we managed to snag a tiny table. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are small. We both ordered the breakfast, and actually it was delightful. There was an assortment of salads, breakfast foods including sausage, egg, a bulgur curry dish, and tomatoes and pickles a plenty. Cheese, honey, jam, baguette, hummus and more. I grabbed seconds and had my fill. I won't eat for the rest of the day. Cost 25zł. The atmosphere is relaxed and calm. The lighting is nice. If I lived here I could see coming here to get work done (although like I said earlier the tables are a little small.) The location is great too... Just a short walk from Renoma or a little bit further from the rynek. Go for a stroll along the promenade afterwards....Regular hours make it a reliable place. Oh and wifi is free... Their password is written on the wall inside. I would definitely come back. See you next time I'm in Wrocław!!

    Dining at this (teeny tiny) restaurant truly can be your "event" of the day. This is not a place to…read moresimply have a good meal. This is a place to dine, to truly enjoy your food, to enjoy meeting the chef and his team, to speak with him about his vision for the guest experience, and to learn about the ways in which your meal was prepared with thought, intent, and talent. I'm sure you've already read the other reviews about how there is no menu, and that chef will instead ask what foods you like and don't like. But my advice is not to simply say "I like chicken," but rather how you like your chicken, as in, what style, what kind of cuisine, and with what flavors. Are you a huge fan of garlic? Absolutely love Turkish spices? Do you like mushroom flavor but hate the consistency (raises hand). Chef wants to know what your tastebuds like, not what you like. Give him the tools to create an exquisite meal for you, and he will do so. Here was our menu (entirely gluten-free; Celiac is the worst. In fact, chef's response when we asked for gluten-free was that he naturally does not use a lot of gluten-containing items, so cross-contamination was limited). - Green salad with cucumbers, avocados, kiwi, and a delicious quince-based dressing with a hint of mint. - Hand-cut sweet potato fries, so light and airy you thought you were eating a potato puff. - Roasted summer vegetables and red pepper in a balsamic reduction - Grilled chicken with lemon, in a mushroom puree sauce with fresh thyme - Broiled swordfish with vinaigrette red cabbage - Braised pork shoulder (marinated for 24 hrs) in a savory gravy of onions and mustard seeds - Dessert tray of coffee creme brulee, bananas with white chocolate and strawberries, a deliciously light cheesecake with a pistachio base, and a brownie square (the only gluten item served to our table, for our non-GF friends). As you can see, this restaurant is unique. As such, reservations are imperative, and I urge you to go no matter what time you can fit it into your schedule. They start seating at 2pm (during the week, noon on the weekends), and space is limited to 3 larger tables (they will seat smaller parties with other small parties to make use of their tables). Book well in advance if you're looking for traditional dinner hours. We dined at 3:30pm and were full straight through to bedtime. Truly, this is an experience that is not to be missed. Building 17 has an a, b, c, d, - get out at the pet shop/vet office--walk towards the church to the back of the building. Read the signs of each store front and you'll find it. #3 - no menu - no wine list don't worry they will make sure you have everything you need just take off your coat and settle in First meal - Permission & tomato salad - fresh and rustic Bulgar salad with mint, cucumber, pomegranate, & micro green - amazing light and fresh paired excellently with the lamb Braised pork cheeks with mushrooms - tender pork in a rich sauce with earthy mushrooms Lamb with grilled eggplant - cooked perfectly rare for my tastes. If this looks too rare, just tell the Chef how you like it cooked and it will be delivered to your table perfectly done! Side of potatoes, broccolini, and mushrooms perfect to round out our meal. Second meal - Stuffed zucchini flowers - filled with seasoned ricotta cheese, lightly tempura battered, and fried. A special treat from the chef. It's a very popular item in the summer time when the flowers are in season. Couscous salad with cucumber, pomegranate, spinach, cucumbers, kumquats. I requested the bulgar salad but the chef had to change it up and I'm glad he did. Veal ribs - I have never had them and now I want them every day especially with the BBQ sauce - ketchup, passion fruit juice, and Thai hot sauce. Venison goulash with plumbs, chocolate very complex dish; very good. Side of sun chokes with pea shoots and cheese - who knew you can eat sun chokes like a potato ?!?!? Chocolate fondant cake & panacotta topped with hot chocolate mousse - to die for! We would've eaten there every day during our stay in Wroclaw but they were booked. Chef Gregory has a passion for food, people, and cooking which you can feel as soon as you walk in the door. Eve handles the front of the house with ease and grace -- call her you will NEED a reservation. Peter, sous chef, worked quickly and quietly -- if he makes the chocolate fondant cake or bread -- I suggest you eat it! Coming soon - outdoor dining with a light menu --- this might be a rumor but if you're a local keep a look out for it.

Wrocław being a pretty hip town, there is no shortage of vegetarian and vegan options, yet Żyzna stands head and shoulders above them. Much of the vegan food in Poland is not in any way related to Polish food. We have lots of vegetarian options, but no vegan ones. So, when one sees vegan food in Poland it is typically SE-asian style. Nothing wrong with that, but it's pretty generic. Żyzna borrows much from foreign cuisines, but manages to infuse Polish flavor notes into the dishes, and that makes them stand out. We started with a great potato and white bean soup with marjoram and horseradish. The horseradish was an excellent touch, and ever so subtly tied the soup back to the Polish traditional żurek, or sourdough soup. For seconds, we had a quinoa-based dish that did a nice job of incorporating pickled beets and their brine, and little sprigs of dill, both of those being very classic Polish flavors. The other dish was a vegan risotto with black sesame, coconut flakes, and pea shoots. Also superb. Dessert was a lavender cake (not too heavy on the lavender) and a sublime chia seed pudding, and coffee with spelt milk. There is always a new soup of the day, and three main courses. Every week they rotate one of the mains, and it is always something seasonal. There is an assortment of desserts as well. Being a very small operation, they have a limited number of each of the mains, so it is quite possible that even early in the day they might be out of something. As an avowed meat eater, the highest praise I can give them is that this is really good food that just happens to be vegan. I would happily eat there again, and look forward to my next visit. The flavors are great, the service is friendly and low-key, and the food is expertly presented and priced very fairly. You owe it to yourself to go check Żyzna out.

The Pierogi Ukrainskie was a plate of six dumplings stuffed with cottage cheese and cabbage, topped with fried onions and a dollop of sour cream. While the original version of this pierogi is already vegetarian, this restaurant's version was made with completely vegan ingredients from the imitation cottage cheese to the butter to the garlic cream! There were a couple of international options on the menu as well, and I ordered the samosa, a fried turnover made with a mixture of spiced vegetables (potatoes, onions, peppers, carrots, tomatoes) wrapped in a flaky, crispy spiced dough. The best part of the dish were the two sauces the samosa came with: a red pepper purée and a thick garlic cream that rounded out the flavors of the spices. Along with our dishes came a selection of surowka (salads) including red cabbage with sesame seeds, sauerkraut with sun-dried tomatoes, carrots with pumpkin seeds, and green cabbage with dill. Overall, the food here made for a delicious meal that came at a great value, especially given the restaurant's location right in Wrocław's central market square!

Both restaurants are fully vegan! Another reviewer said she felt uncomfortable on the ground floor. I didn't at all! The menu is not in English, but the person behind the counter spoke English well and was really helpful. And there was also pictures, which made it really easy to order. We arrived for a late dinner about 45 minutes before they closed. The restaurant is really affordable, especially for the quality and the portion sizes: we paid under 45 PLN for two huge meals with bottled waters. We tried a buckwheat cutlet (sort of like falafels made from buckwheat) with mushroom sauce, and stuffed cabbage. Both were served with our choice of salads (you can also order a la carte). The salads were excellent, and not what I expected: shredded carrots in one and pickled veggies in the other. All of the food tasted really fresh and well prepared. As their window says - animal liberation and human liberation are linked! Whether you're a vegan/vegetarian/flexitarian/omnivore who just wants to get some more fiber and vitamins, do yourself a favor and check out Vega.

Ask for this instead. my other half who was less adventurous had basically a pan fried piece of chicken and fries with cabbage. pretty much a chicken escalope and fries or if in germany a schnitzel mit pommes. it was what it was. Tasty bit nothing new or interesting unless you have never had one before. Still it was correctly cooked and if you are in the mood for this its not a bad thing to order. I'll still give it 4 stars as the service was good and everything was cooked right. It just didn't wow me but then this could just be the polish cuisine in general (although again I haven't had enough to make this judgement wither) so I wouldn't knock them as everything was done well.
