Don't get me wrong, Panini isn't bad but it's also not spectacular in any way. It is a chain that mainly does salads, pasta and sandwiches as well some light dishes. Food is freshly made on site and usually feels fresh. My clear favorite is the thaish salad (as they call it). Salad with chilies, noodles, beef and nuts. Fresh and just the right bit of spicy. Service at this location is friendly but at times terribly slow. I try to avoid peak hours or send a colleague to pick up the food. I have never actually eaten at the location but there are some tables but most people use it for take out. Coffee is also very affordable here so for those not that focused and quality of the coffee this is a good option.

This made sense though since this place is TINY. They just seemed so stressed out and I felt bad for them. I ordered a sandwich, coffee, and apple tosca pastry. The sandwich was super fresh, but I felt the bread was a bit too hard for a sandwich. That being said, the bread was very tasty. The pastry was probably the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. This might sound like I'm exaggerating (I am), but it was honestly incredible. Soft, gooey, not too sweet, and just the right amount of crispness on top. Definitely recommended- just make sure you're not in a rush!

The re-review: Imagine a quaint little hut nestled just under the hill where Lidingö kyrka stands…read more It looks so un-assuming from the path running in front of it and potentially ordinary but you notice the soft glow of a neon cafe sign inside, and as you approach the windows you start to see someone's delicate art take shape. The old, double-set of wooden doors present the final barrier to this mysterious little enclave: one swinging out and then other letting in. It's then you realize that the little hut holds more than you imagined, or perhaps just what you dreamed might be possible if you gave it a chance. Opening in May of 2015, this now obvious gem sat abandoned for 2 years until the wonderful owner had the vision to spot a diamond in the rough. People like this are so inspiring, and this tiny little cafe feels like it was handled with so much love that it can't help but wash over you a little bit with your coffee. The woman that owns Kaptensstugan now is so kind and her years of experience in cafes shines so brightly in this little cottage. A heartful thank you to people like this, who master their chosen craft so brilliantly and can present the art of life in a way that touches the lives of those around them. Recommended.
