I was greeted immediately upon entering, had a great visit with the person making my sandwich. She was super helpful, informing me of their specials and deals. I ordered the club, with shredded cheddar, mustard, pickles, olives, oil and vinegar, salt & pepper (no oregano ). I got cookies, an ENORMOUS soda and harvest cheddar Sun chips. This may be the largest Subway I've ever seen. It was very clean, restroom, too. It's tough to mess up a sandwich and I asked for whichever bread was freshly baked. Walked in to an empty Subway about 7pm today. Wasn't greeted. Not even eye contact. Ordered our sandwiches to go, and a much kinder young man rang us up. Absolute garbage people don't care at all about customers. Doesn't matter how much you pay, whether you get the deluxe double meat Uber ultra mega gargantuan whatever AND add extra meat on top of it all, you're going to get a sad serving of disappointment with a side of cardboard and sawdust bread. I'm only the 3rd car in line in the drive thru, no biggy, I expect to wait a few minutes. 5 minutes later I pull up to the window, I wait some more. Finally the girl working there opens the window and semi-yells "you're going to have to wait". I just looked at her dumbfounded. Why is she so frantic and why is she talking to me that way? Every single time I come here they scam me with the sandwiches. The sandwiches are always WILDLY under-filled to the point where you're essentially biting into 90% bread and almost nothing else. They have messed up my order every single time I've gone there as well, and have never once gotten everything completely correct. This time I went, I waited TWENTY MINUTES in the drive through before anyone came to the window to greet me or take my card. Twenty minutes. Then, after I payed, I waited an additional TEN minutes for my food. Keep in mind, when I arrived the lobby was completely empty, and there was no one in front of me at all, so there was no reason for an absurdly long wait. After I payed, the guy accidentally left the window open and I could here the THREE workers f*cking around, talking sh*t about their boss, and laughing and socializing, all while I've been waiting for almost 30 minutes for my food. And, after all this waiting, I get home and my sandwiches are 95% bread and have almost nothing on them. The sandwiches were also smashed and falling apart. What a complete and utter joke of a business. The only reason I came to this location is because a different location I've had a horrific experience with as well. So do all the subways in Salem just suck? They hire low-class teens who f*ck around and dont do their job, and then those teens quit a month later and new ones are hired, and the cycle continues. Been here a few more times, they have been doing better but tonight was a complete and utter failure. I used the drive through machine which doesn't seem to work properly. It recorded my mom's Meatball Sub as a Ham & Cheese. My dad's sub was supposed to only have Lettuce, tomato, pickle, mustard and mayo on it. They had banana peppers on it and the bread was Garlic instead of White. AND he found a staple stuck to the bottom of the bread. I also don't think the meat was right on my father's or my sandwich either. Subway is my favorite fast food and I would choose it over anything. I've only been coming to this subway for a couple months and it hasn't been terrible but this time, I walk in and notice on the glass where they keep the meats and cheeses that there is a sign that has about 5 things that they ran out of. So I usually get the same thing every time and I never get my subway toasted. Ever. Well the guy who was Making my sandwich just went ahead and toasted it and also just slapped on some cheese that I didn't ask for. I've been to many Subways. This one is cleanest I've seen. The staff is quick and friendly. If you come in during Lunch, there will be a nice Long Line. But the employees make it move fast.
