Prices are pretty good for gourmet burgers. Bith times, I ordered the Grunt Snort Wheeze (awesome name) with fries, and both times I got it to go. I believe a good burger consists of 3 things: a good patty, soft tasty bread that does not fall apart, and well done toppings. Patty: Well cooked, well spiced, no gristle, in proportion with the burger (right size), and tastes great. Bun: Soft but doesn't fall apart with this messy burger. Toppings: Toppings were plentiful and good quality. For this burger, the egg and BBQ were good outside of the burger, much less on it. Fried jalapeños are nice and crispy. I really like the burgers here. My favorite burger in the area remains Crescent Moon's burgers, but that restaurant is a 50 min drive from Red Oak. Bulk Snort is a very worthy place to stop.

The menus vary a little, but are very similar in a lot of aspects. The quality of service and the cooks make the biggest differences. The Chuckwagon hit five stars in some aspects of both. Everyone is super friendly, the coffee is consistently great, and the breakfast croissants are unreal. Like... I crave them when I'm at home. I usually get the sausage croissant and add tomato. So good. Last time I switched it up and got the stacker with tomato, also great! But that flaky breakfast croissant is *chef's kiss* :) They have wifi available, which is another huge plus for me. I can't always find it on my Iowa journeys! Already looking forward to my next visit. See you in a few months!
