The place has a long history and carries sentimental value for a lot of locals. Sadly the place is only average in terms of the quality of the food/ice cream. When it is busy, the wait (after placing your order) can become pretty ridiculous. I wouldn't avoid it altogether as it is in such a convenient location l, but it's definitely not a must-visit place either.

They have about 12 beers on tap ranging from pilsners to…read morewheat beers to IPA; they didn't have any porters or stout (6 different IPAs and double IPAs on the other hand). There is no table service for ordering; instead you have to walk up to the counter. They serve small tasters, which is nice. Prices range from R12 to 20 for 500ml, served in plastic cups. Burgers are quite cheap and come out super quick (they are brought to the table). They have interesting names and some unusual ingredients. Unfortunately they're not all that special. Buns look and taste like fast-food style.
