That was some 10 years ago. I'm thankful that the business is still going strong and I can count on placing another order for the items I will need. The quality and thickness of the felt I use is outstanding and perfect to use in 1:12th scale. Thank you, Johanna Daimer! I think this time around a trip to Munchen might be warranted. :)

The ground floor offers the largest selection of art supplies I've seen in Germany; upstairs is a frame shop (where they will custom-cut mats) and an assortment of art books. There's also a small cafe so you can keep up your strength between fondling watercolor papers and squeezing oil paint tubes. The best way to get to Boesner is by car; there is a public transport option that only runs on Saturday. But for those who can't always make it there in person, you can place orders on the website. Delivery is quick and the fees are entirely reasonable as long as you order a certain amount (I think it's €50) of stuff at a time.
