My friend and I order the Spaghetti al pesto to share, and they brought it separated into two plates instead of having us separate it ourselves. My Pezco misto took a little longer than expected but when it arrived it was delicious. The atmosphere is lively but not loud. Be ready to wait 5 minutes to be seated since the place is very popular at night. The service was quick and very friendly. We will be back for more of that Spaghetti al pesto, but this time we won't share, everyone gets their own full plate

I rather pick up my pizza and eat at home but there is a small possibility to dine in. I can only recommend your taste will appreciate! To me in Pizzeria Il Futuro you find one of the best pizza and pasta dishes not only in Köln but also in the whole Germany, and I would say outside Italy! It is the place where the food most reminds me my years in Italy. The food is awesome, the staff is cool...I would just add: bravissimo Il Futuro!!

Different is a good word to describe my experience here. From the decor of the restaurant to my…read morechoice of food, I think the word different is perfect. So starting with the decor of the restaurant. I think if you go to your average yard sale and say to the person selling their stuff, I want everything in your yard and then put it up on the walls of your restaurant then you can imagine the decor of this place. Random and different. I wanted to try a pizza I have never had before. Always getting the same thing for me is boring, I like variety. So I ordered the Napoli pizza which had cheese, tomato, garlic and sardines. I have never had sardines before so why not give it a try. I will say they weren't so bad, very salty. I thought like a salty Salmon. Anyway it was probably the saltiest pizza I have ever had and the amount of garlic on it has me sure I won't ever be attacked by a vampire for the rest of my life. I do really like garlic and salt but it was a little much for me. The pizza crust was crispy and cooked very well. Kind of a small pizza but overall a good one. Interesting experience with good friends but I think I prefer another place for pizza or pasta.

After reading many great reviews about this place, I have to be honest and say I was disappointed…read more Now I will say that I only ordered a beer. That being said I tried two different dishes because people couldn't eat anymore. I tried the veggie ravioli and the black noodle seafood dish. The veggie ravioli I thought was bland but the sauce was quite good. And the black noodle seafood dish tasted quiet fishy which wasn't bad and the noodles were different but I enjoyed it. The place was really loud and smelled horrible like burning oil. It was like putting oil in my nose and Inhaling it. The food was a little pricy from what was being presented I'd say. The beer I ordered was Leffe. And it was a better version of a Weizen beer which are common here in Köln. A nice blonde beer with a smooth finish. Maybe worth a go one more time to actually order the meal I want.

I was spot on and the couple of miles walk there and back only made it better. We started off with the Godfather Pizza. Crust was perfect and the salami with the olives were incredible. The waiter then brought us three pasta dishes of his choice, and divided them into thirds. The pesto with shrimp was the best but the others were great too. Each pasta was cooked perfectly. We ended with a steak which again was split between the there of us, very tasty and cooked as requested, vegetables on the side were a nice compliment. No room for dessert but they all looked super yummy. Next time I'm in Cologne, I will for sure make another visit.

It isn't a luxury experience, but the food tastes good, the waitstaff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. It might be a little touristy, but this hasn't turned it into the kind of place with the 100 hundred page menu or the solicitor outside trying to convince you to spend money at their restaurant.
