I walked into Egyptian Hair Styles on Saturday, spoke with the owner, told her what I wanted, and she informed me that any of the stylists could do what I wanted and assured me they have the color I wanted. The next day, Sunday, I did a walkin and was able to get exactly what I wanted. Both days I went, the employees greeted me promptly and was pleasant throughout my entire visit. I was seated in a chair quickly and the stylist began working on my hair. She asked what I wanted and delivered just that. To top it off, the price was reasonable. Parking is shared with other stores in the plaza, but there was plenty space available. I would definitely recommend the team here and would definitely return for and service I need.

My girlfriend first realized that something wasn't right upon washing her daughter's hair after only going to George a couple of times. She noticed the texture was straight n stringy n the back and it just didn't feel right. When washing her own hair, she also noticed the same thing and told me about it. Needless to say, when I washed my own head later (in preparation for summer knotless braids), I realized that my hair felt thinner and lighter towards the ends. So, I decided to give it a break from the heat this summer. Upon going to my main stylist, today, she initially felt my hair was ok, but would know for sure once she washed it. Upon washing it, she was upset and stated "my head is not the same head!" She informed me that they were using chemicals on our hair (e.g. relaxer) and we didn't even know it. I have been natural for over 14 years. Apparently, they add chemicals to make our natural hair more manageable, so they can quickly get us in and out. However, it totally destroys our once healthy full head of hair. As another woman commented, with coily hair you must detangle gently and from the bottom up. That wasn't done for me. Next you are under the dryer an absurdly long time, not checked in with, no offer of water or anything. The blow dry and style has no regard for preserving the integrity of your natural curls, as I have discovered my leave out is basically bone straight now. Not to mention, I heard my stylist mentioned while looking at my hair, "mala" in Spanish meaning, "bad". Sadly, my hair appeared nice, but it is heat damaged, and I was charged entirely too much for poor treatment. I owe it to myself to warn you, especially if you have coily textured hair, this is not the place for you! Unfortunately, that came with its own trauma: sky-high prices, inconsistent booking, and losing an entire day in someone's chair. I was over it. I knew I needed to return to what I knew--the efficiency and reliability of African braiders. I arrived early on a Monday morning, the first client of the day. I was greeted by one of the braiders and instructed to call the owner, Flower, to confirm my style. I requested medium knotless braids, waist-length, with a custom color mix (1B/30/27). Flower quoted me $250, a fair and honest price considering the style, length, and color. Two braiders worked on me--Sophie and another braider whose name I didn't catch, but it starts with an M based on the sign-in sheet. The shop was clean and everything ran smoothly. My braiders were initially hesitant about the color mix, but once they saw it finished, they loved it and so did I. The braids ended up being a little longer than I anticipated, and the whole process took about 5.5 hours. For the length and quality, I have zero complaints. The braids are neat, the parts are clean, and most importantly, I left without feeling like my scalp was on fire. Tight? A little, but nothing unbearable. Painful? No. I'll definitely be back again. My only issue was with the handling of the braiding hair. At times, the hair would fall to the floor and if it was picked up quickly, I understood. But sometimes it lingered, was stepped on, and still used. I did refuse some hair that had been stepped on, but I don't believe it was thrown out. That's something I'd encourage others to be mindful of. Make sure the hair being installed in your head is being cared for properly. If you're looking for a clean, efficient, no-nonsense braiding experience that gives what it's supposed to give, Flower Atl Braids is your spot.

I sent pictures and was told prices for both pictures Flower stated that my hair could be braided tomorrow morning I explained to her that I had to work tomorrow and didn't want to be late for work she stated I could come tonight and I asked what time she said 9:30pm. I called her on the way cause it stated cash only on Instagram but I found this shop on Google. I stopped at the ATM machine on the way there . I got there and the lady asked what did I want and I said a braided ponytail and she said that would take to long and she couldn't do it tonight I showed her the other style and she said my edges were not thick enough although they were a few weeks ago when I had Goddess braids plus I leave my edges out. She tried to pretend like she tried to call when we just talked ten minutes or less before arriving to the shop when I called on her BS instead of apologizing or trying to make things right I got more excuses.
