With Chew, you always know it's going to be Chris. Sometimes I order in just to see his smiling face. He is a local entrepreneur and super funny. One time, we cheated on Chris and ordered through a national delivery service because the restaurant we wanted isn't on his list. The guy who delivered the food complained about how hard our house was to find but then creepily pointed out that it was secluded and asked if I had dogs. I will never stray again.

While I've encountered plenty of tasty things to eat out here, it's been a pretty epic struggle to find healthy dining options. I love unhealthy food, so this wasn't an issue at first. But at some point, I realized eating fried chicken sandwiches everyday was not doing me any favors. So... I scoured the internet and found Lean Green Cuisine. The company prepares vegan bulk meals over the weekend and you pick up your meals for the week on Monday or Tuesday (or if you live close to the highway, you can have the food delivered on Monday). I'm not vegan or vegetarian (I love meat and all things dairy) so I did not have high hopes for the food---I just planned to just suffer through whatever they threw at me so I didn't end up looking like Jabba the Hut at the end of my project. This week I placed my first order (I ordered enough food for lunch every day). Turns out, my low expectations were totally off-base. The food is amazing. The meals are very flavorful and I find myself looking forward to lunch despite the fact that it's healthy. Everything is homemade with whole foods and no preservatives are used. Because of this, I stay full for a long time. I am usually a big-time snacker, but the meals have really curbed my desire to pilfer candy jars. I wholeheartedly recommend Lean Green Cuisine for people who live in the area or people just visiting on business. My only regret has been that I didn't find them sooner!

I had to leave my Aunt in Cassville to return home to the Springfield area. Jerry (the owner operator) picked up my Aunt every morning and evening until I could get back to her. He sent me a text message everyday letting me know that my Aunt made it safely both ways. If you ask me, that is above and beyond excellent service. On his last day of picking her up he even sent me a text saying it was a pleasure helping my Aunt. My Aunt had only good things to say about her experience as well. Jerry made me feel comfortable and safe about leaving my Aunt in Cassville. I just can't say enough good thing about his service. I know we can only vote five stars, but Jerry is a ten! If you are in Cassville and need a cab, I highly recommend using this service.

The Beshores got the idea while living in Denver, where, as Blake describes it: "Burritos are a way of life. You have your cup of coffee in the morning, and you have your burrito." When the couple returned to Missouri--Blake hails from Joplin and Teresa is from Springfield--they decided the Queen City needed to join the burrito game. In June 2017, Teresa and Blake unveiled Small Batch Burritos--a line of handmade frozen breakfast burritos that feature high-quality ingredients and bold flavors. Instead of a brick and mortar store, the Beshores deliver their burritos to grocery stores, markets and businesses. The key is big flavors and top-notch ingredients. Yukon gold potatoes are chef-diced and infused with special seasoning. Eggs are cooked in batches, and all that flavor gets sealed in with a drizzle of lemon juice. No preservatives needed.
