Our family had SO MUCH fun on this tour. None of us had been on one before this, and we will definitely do it again next time we are in Florida. Captain Krista was funny, kind and very knowledgeable about the wildlife and vegetation. We highly recommend Stumpknocker airboat tours!!!!! read more

Cpt Krista has a deep knowledge of the area and the wildlife. She brought us up close to multiple alligators (32) to see them in the wild and was very informative of their habitat and life cycles. They are amazing creatures. If you want to be up close to a multitude of birds, gators, turtles, this is the boat to be on. This was the best thing we did all week Thanks Cpt Krista , well done read more

Captain Krista was FABULOUS! So knowledgeable about the history, the vegetation, the wildlife and her boat! We enjoyed every minutes, despite the windy conditions and cool temps. Definitely recommend this tour. Hoping to go back in summer to see the lotus flowers in bloom. Do this tour if you're in the area...you'll love it! read more

Captain John was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, we saw lots of gators and other wildlife

Awesome ride and tour!!! Upon arrival, our captain was waiting for us. He had everything we needed to enjoy the tour. A comfortable boat, headsets and knowledge of the area and animals. During our ride, he always made sure to point out the gators which mostly everyone loved and wanted to see. But he also made a point to show us other wildlife, habitats and vegetation which I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this tour if you are in the area or if you want to take an out of towner someplace cool. read more

This is our 2nd time going on an airboat. We do it every time we come to Florida because our son is obsessed with wildlife. This time Gator bait was sold out. So we decided to go with Stumpknocker instead. Not taking anything away from Gator Bait. But we are so glad that we had to pick a different outfit. We had Captain John today and he was so informative. You can tell he knew the history of the area and had us on Gators all the way. We saw everything. Turtles, birds, and at least 15 or so gators if not more! He was also excellent with our autistic son which was awesome. One of the other boats got stuck and he went back after our tour to get those folks. Quality guy and a really quality tour. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to get a great experience from a seasoned pro! read more

Captain Krista was FANtastic! She had insane knowledge on the area, wildlife, and vegetation. She was also really funny and had our whole boat laughing. We originally booked with Gator Bait but their boat broke down 10 minutes in and we were stranded for a solid 30-45 minutes in the hot sun. Captain Krista came to save us. (Kinda glad the boat break down happened because we enjoyed time with Krista so much). read more

Ah, my special lady beat me to the first to review fame but seriously if you're in Florida, skip Disney and go here! Worth the drive from anywhere. Totally worth the $40 per head, especially considering the New England Aquarium costs $25 to get in now (what a joke). The boat is like a little fishing rig outfitted with a monster fan on the back and an engine that looks like it was scooped out of a 1968 Pontiac GTO. The thing handles pretty well, and it's a really cool feeling to be whipping around turns, as the thing glides and banks. Feels like you're floating on air. The gators are obviously the stars of the show, but the birds are the unsung heroes. The Dennis Johnson to the gators' Larry Bird if you will. The guide knows the area so well, he remembers when a certain family of ospreys last hatched babies, where the ibis likes to hang out, stuff like that. Tres cool. And he'll also tell you some funny non-pc stories with a semi-redneck charm that's better than kissing your cousin. Huh? Disregard. Anyways, get thee to STUMPKNOCKERS and feel the rush of the wind in your hair and the wildlife all around you. read more

We had a picture perfect morning ride with Captain John. His knowledge of the area and animals is terrific! Such a nice individual as well. We had friends visiting for spring break and he was able to accommodate our night-before request despite the new regulations that reduce the number of boats and passengers. Our friends loved it...always great to show people the real Florida. And having a local like Captain John as our guide made it even better. Thank you, thank you! read more

Captain John was awesome, knowledgeable about the wildlife and plants, saw a bunch of Gators, many osprey, and countless other birds fish and whatnot. My first airboat ride, won't be my last, and he and Stumpknocker has earned my loyalty. Pleasant, friendly, informative, and just loads of fun. read more

I am basing this review on having listened to the tour operator bad mouth another airboat tour operator both upon our arrival (with the second company) and when our tour was done. Derogatory comments directed at the boat, the equipment, and the captain himself in front of disembarking passengers as well as those waiting to board were said loud enough for my entire family to hear. Very poor business sense. read more

Krista was a wonderful guide. She found lots of gators, large & small & it was a wonderful morning with her.

This guy took our reservation the day before and when we showed up we didn't have a reservation for 5. He told my wife she made a mistake and then when she repeated what he said to her on the phone and he said that sounds like me. This guy said call me tonight and I'll set you up later this week... He is a piece a work... read more

My Sister-in-Law had ask me to set up an Air Boat ride for My Brother (her Husband) for his 75th Birthday. After about a month of going over the Web sites of the several Air Boat Tour Companies around Vero Beach Fl. I settled on Stumpknockers. Probably the Best Choice I have made in My 68 years. We arrived about 30 minutes before our Set Day and Time, which just happened to be Father's Day 2012. Capt Steve was preparing the boat, and there were about 11 of us waiting to go. After he got all equipment wiped down and cleaned from the privous group. He greeted us and helped each one into their floatation device and explain how they function, plus a safety brief. Capt Steve was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable, of all species in the area and vegitation. He gives the history of the area as well as He provides an outstanding tours of the wetlands. Plus that the Air Boat is AWESOME. A great adventure for both Old and Young. Jerry T.. read more
