There is not, nonetheless Let me take you on a journey. Me and my flock are not Alaskan natives. We traveled very far from Louisiana to fish these mighty waters. Having absolutely no prior experience (nor genetic predisposition it seems) in the fish world, we shivered with fear, yet anticipation for the salmon extravaganza that awaited us. Cap'n Seth greeted us with a warm smile and an even warmer "hello there!". He was our beacon of light in our ignorant darkness. On the ride over, we shared many a laugh together. Arriving to the fishing destination (Seth provided an education on salmon strategy that rivals even Yale University. The diligence in which he instructed me and my fellow fishers was far beyond your average instruction. He was patient as an eagle in positioning us in our proper and prime fishing locale. Moana would be jealous of his keenness with water. We could tell by all the friendly greetings that Seth received from his fellow river guides that he is well liked by his peers, and it is easy to see why. Some might call him the River King - we certainly do. Let me tell you dear reader, I was by far the worst fisher out there, yet Seth wouldn't back down from helping me- and behold- I hooked a salmon. That salmon is my prize, the apple of my eye, the reason for my season. Never could I have done it without Seth. My crew caught more fish than we knew what to do with. Even us biggies couldn't eat the whole catch. The real founder of the feast was Seth. I could write forever about this journey, but let me leave you with this, give Seth your time, your business, and your conversation. If there is anyone who deserves it, it's him. We enjoyed conversing with Seth the entire trip as he answered our curious questions about life in Alaska and on the river. Thanks again Set. While I haven't fished in years, I found his teachings easy to understand and exciting. I was engaged in his knowledge and learned quickly from his lesson. Because of this, I was enjoying my time on the river quickly. Our family has never had such an experience and will cherish it forever. Boat and gear was in great shape. Our guide was super accommodating for both our elementary-aged kid, as well as my mom, in her 70s. We did quite a bit of catch and release, and we really appreciated the care he took to keep the area a destination fishing spot for all! And...the trout we did keep was excellent eating. The building is on a lake, has a beautiful patio, the inside is a large room with spacious windows overlooking the lake, and large wood beams to support the ceiling. Full kitchen and bathroom amenities available. There were two roads to get here from Soldotna area and I took the one least traveled, on a dirt road (I think one portion was named Escape Rd, or something like that...). Right nice place to get married, memorialize passing, or be in a senior group doing yoga.

KEEP YOUR TIP DOWN! He was not condescending at all and very patient. He took the time to individually make any adjustment we needed. When the Sockeye started hitting the four of us caught three times as many fish as the other thirty people in the lineup. We were the kings. All eyes on us. On our second day I was really excited to see and hangout with Bill again. It was like fishing with a close friend or that cool uncle we all have. It rained the whole time and I was having so much fun I barely noticed. Once again the fish started slow but finished hard. Bill was running back and forth netting fish. He would even help the other people with different guides when they needed it. Class act. When we got close to our limit we took a break and called in the other Easy Limit Groups. We put them in our spots and they pounded fish too. I really, really enjoyed hanging with the whole crew. Greg, Rich and Kenny are just like Bill. Enjoyed some snickerdoodles from Gregs secret chef and coffee from Bill. We all enjoyed some friendly banter and good conversation. We returned to our spots and limited out quickly.
