When we were driving down the road, we came across Alexandra Furnishings and it looked like they had a large selection of items, so we decided to stop and take a look. This shop tucked away together with other independent shops on Birmingham Road is near Aldi and the Scott Arms junction and it has to be visited before you decide to re-decorate your house in an Ikea style! It's possible to fin some classic wooden bookshelves for only £60 and they have a range of products for living, dinning and bedrooms or even kids furniture that are just gorgeous. I have been in a few times just to have a look around for some inspiration to brighten up my home. It is full of curtains, carpets and other types of flooring like vinyl and wooden floor panels. They also sell a variety of cushions and various materials so that you can make your own curtains or covers too. The staff are very helpful and when I have been in have asked me if I needed any help or advice with anything, which I think shows good customer service. The prices are fairly standard for this type of store too. Overall, I think that this is a good interiors store and it is worth a visit if you need any inspiration or advice on interiors.

Much like Amelie up the road, this is the place for a nice cushion or a wedding present. Their window display is lovely and a lot of the stock looks homemade. The lady who runs it is very nice (even looking out for my bus for me whilst I rifled through their selection of greetings cards). The toys in particular seem good so definitely somewhere to visit before Christmas.

They have a fantastic range of cushions, the towels and other bathroom goods are good quality, the kitchen section upstairs (which is inaccessible to pushchairs because o fthe steps and the narrowness of the isles) has a nice selection of kitchen and cooking gadgets. It's pretty rare that I come across a furniture store that specialises in furniture for the elderly so Dennets made a nice change. Nothing cost more than £200.00 which I thought was very decently priced and is probably more of a relief to their usual customer. Even though the styles didn't appeal to me in anyway their chairs and sofas are so comfy it was a struggle to get up! I'd recommend Dennetts for elderly and for people who just want some comfortable furniture (no matter what the look.)

They do the whole job, start to finish, which includes the design and fitting. They offer modern, traditional, and contemporary designs. I actually felt like I was in a real kitchen walking through the shop floor. They encourage customers to bring in architecture plans, and also offer a brochure which gives a detailed overview. Intoto offer quality kitchens and also have promotional seasonal offers, and it's nice that they pass on all electrical promotions that they have to the customer. It felt like there was too much going. Don't let this dishearten you though. They had some a very nice variety of designs on display and there were even more in the brochure. From what I saw I think they try and sell designs to suit everybody; not just for the products appearance but for their practicality as well. They even specialise in door handles and things so that people can knock on your front door. The decor made the floor look like a drive way, which I thought was very creative and clever and almost made the doors more appealing. If you're looking for a new window, conservatory or door and can mind the limited space then you might find something you like here.
