My husband discovered their afternoon tea back in 2022, and we loved it so much that we went twice in the same week. No shame. When a place is good, you go back for seconds--and apparently, thirds. Fast-forward to our 2025 trip: we marched right back into the Tea Lounge like we owned the place (we absolutely do not). The pastries were freshly made, the sandwiches were perfect, and the desserts were so good that I briefly considered proposing to the pastry chef. Everything tasted like it had just come out of a magical Victorian oven. The hotel itself is a whole experience. It's old in the best possible way--historic, elegant, and full of "I wonder what has happened in this hallway" vibes. I kept staring at the ceilings, the carpets, the little details... basically everything. My husband had to remind me not to wander off and move in. One day I fully intend to stay here as an actual hotel guest instead of the enthusiastic tea-time groupie I currently am. But until then, I will happily keep showing up for that afternoon tea like it's a limited-time Broadway show. If you're in Istanbul, go. Treat yourself. Become a Pera Palace tea person. It's a lifestyle I highly recommend.

Without a lottery jackpot, I couldn't afford a room for a night, but high tea is a fair price for the time travel opportunity. 3 to 6, unlimited tea and tea food, with a little imagination I was able to become an Agatha Christie character. There are signs posted warning against phone or camera use but our waiter took a PIC of us. Just ve subtle. To get here from the tram is a steep uphill walk. Nice view from the deck outside of the tea room which is directly back from the lobby door. Check out the vintage elevator. Very close to the Pera Museum. Lots of interesting shopping on the walk down to the Galata Tower which is often not open. Lots of cats to make friends with on the way too.

It's right on a…read morebusy street in old town --which made it super convenient to get to the market, nearby restaurants, and even major sights like Hagia Sophia or the Blue Mosque. The environment was nice and the staff was super friendly. The only downside was that the hotel condition wasn't perfect--like the towel bar in our bathroom was broken and a couple of lights weren't working, so we had to ask them to fix those. They did come and replace them, which was nice. On the plus side, their breakfast was really good, and overall, I'd still recommend the place despite those little flaws. I ended up liking it here! One more thing, their breakfast was good.

They were able to upgrade our room to a premium king suite - it did not fall short of its name! The room was spacious. The bed felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom included a full steam room, hamam, tub, and shower. We were stocked with le labo products (the best)! Now on to the breakfast - where to begin. Everything tasted so fresh and fantastic. They have entrees to prepare for you as well as a large buffet spread. Fresh juice and coffees brought to your table! There is a lovely park just a block away that we walked through twice. If I'm ever back in Istanbul, I'm staying at the Park Hyatt.

The sold out futuristic performance stage has good acoustics with surround wood paneling. A very supportive audience. The prices are more than reasonable and I hope it continues to attract the public. I highly recommend visiting their website, which has a nice complement of performances. It leans toward the classical arts during my visit. However, the complex also hosts a library, gallery, instrument display, etc. I plan to return during the day for their other departments. As most venues in Turkey they use a third party to process their orders where you must create an account and need a Turkish phone number. I believe this is your only option as I oddly did not notice a box office. The online platform only charges one lira service fee. I tried calling and speaking to a security guard regarding other options without success.
