Click eSports - Mini chocolate chip mochi cookie with matcha mochi inside

Finally, a place that delivers ramen to me! "Click Eatery" on food delivery apps is actually…read morelocated inside Click eSports in the Riocan Merivale Place plaza. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with Japanese chashu (pork belly), bok choy, sweet fried tofu, fish cake slices, an egg, corn, carrots, and green onions. There was a big bowl of fillings that was more packed than I expected and I wasn't sure how much broth would be able to fit in it. The broth came separately from the soup fillings, which was great, and I thought I was going to overflow it by pouring in the broth, but it was a perfect amount. There was some seasoning left at the bottom after pouring, so I'd suggest giving it a stir first. It wasn't boiling hot, but hot enough, and I'm sure it'd stay that way if you're not a slow eater like me. The pork belly slices were really thin and I originally wished there were more, but I didn't need it and I liked the veggies in it. The corn was a nice change to what I'm used to, and I definitely could've eaten more bok choy than the one piece. I think I had some chopped shiitake mushrooms in mine, too, which wasn't stated on the menu but I was lucky to get. The fish cake slices were pink and pretty but didn't have much flavor. The tofu was sweet and a nice change of flavor every few bites. The marinated soft boiled egg that usually comes with ramen was an extra charge, but I was fine with the fully cooked egg in it (not hard boiled, just fully cooked). The broth had some flavor, just not as much of that pork flavor as I would expect. It was salty, so I didn't drink it up as much as I usually do. It was hard to gauge size based on the picture and I wasn't sure whether the price tag would be worth the portion, but it ended up being far more filling than I thought it would be. I also ordered a cheese cream tea (lemon tea with cheese foam on top) with crystal pearls, which were an extra charge. There was no option for sweetness so I found the tea itself a little too sweet for my taste, but I could eat the cheese foam all day! I noticed they had a few desserts, so I got the red bean dorayaki and matcha mochi cookies. I had never had dorayaki before and wanted to try it. I went with the red bean filling instead of green tea and it came prepackaged in some plastic. It was thin and sort of a cake-ish texture, sweeter than I thought, so I'm glad I only got one. The mochi matcha cookies were actually mini chocolate chip cookies with matcha mochi inside and came in a package with each cookie wrapped individually. I had never had these type of cookies before, either, and they're an interesting texture with the chewy mochi inside, though I definitely tasted more chocolate chip cookie than matcha. Didn't realize the matcha flavour was artificial. I love that you can get ramen and bubble tea from the same place. They also have a few rice bento boxes and some sandwiches for those who are less adventurous. Interesting menu. Maybe next time I'll order a box of Pocky, too!
