I'm amazed no one else to date has written a review of this hair salon! Studio Unik is locally owned by an extremely talented young woman who started up the business years ago when she was about 20, and it's grown into a very profitable business. All the hair stylists there are very skilled, wonderfully friendly and personal, and speak both English and French depending on your preference. I've been to different hair salons, charging prices ranging from $15 to $60, and though Studio Unik's hair cuts (with shampooing and dry styling) are only about $20-$25, this is the best place I've been to with a much higher quality than the price may imply. I've had my hair cut by several of the stylers there, and they're all meticulous, take great care when shaping your hair, and make sure that the end result looks great and professional. I found they're excellent at understanding precisely what you're asking for, and have the intuition of quality and experienced hair stylers. Also, an appointment is not usually necessary except in busy season (particularly, since it's located in a university and Cegep town, busy season is near graduation or prom time), or if you want a specific hair styler. read more
