I uncovered a session of incredible, haunting photos that she took of her own daughter in Parc Outremont one Fall and was instantly sold by their colors, composition, and the portrait of the fragile, fleeting beauty of childhood. Since Kate is a mom, she knows how to relate to kids and how to coax the most beautiful belly laughs and joyful expressions out of them. What she was able to get out of my three year-old daughter and me in that hour or so was pure gold. My favorite photo of my daughter is one that Kate captured during that session, and that's saying a lot since we must have thousands of pictures of our baby girl by now! Kate also offers incredible value. We later did a family session in Central Park with one of New York City's TOP family photographers whose basic fee was about 6 times more than Kate's...and although the photos are indeed beautiful, I think that Kate's work is even more timeless and iconic! It is worth flying out to Montreal just to have her capture your special moments (especially with the advantage of the US/CAD exchange rate), and I would do so in an instant should the USA/Canada borders reopen! We chose him because his work evokes emotions we didn't know we could feel, just from looking through his portfolio online. Brent is genuine, has a great personality and knows how to make his subjects feel comfortable. After the wedding, so many of our family and friends, from my little niece to my grandma, told us how much fun it was to shoot with him. They liked him even more after seeing the photos. His style is candid, artsy and never contrived. He'd rather you have a good time at your own wedding than get that perfect shot. The one, single downside- we love all our pictures so much that we haven't been able to finalize our wedding album yet. There are simply too many to choose from.

I hired her to shoot portraits of my parents and their 50th anniversary, but because I hate being photographed did my best to stay away from being in front of the camera. Two weeks ago, she finally got me. Took my first headshots. Sourced an affordable makeup artist (first time I'd let someone else do my makeup) and, while dealing with someone who loathes being in front of the camera and thinks she looks stoned and dead, managed to produce the most incredible headshots I've ever seen. I've been staring at them for weeks going "What wait? Is that really ME?" Like a fine wine, Shoshana's work has got better with age. And it was pretty darned terrific to begin with.

He "matched" my personality to Old Montreal so we took some candid photos there before heading into the metro to do more indoor shots. I really liked one of his photos of a model in front of the train, so we successfully recreated it. The whole process was easy breezy - and just so much fun! Ines was incredible and really came through with my surprise proposal. She helped plan the…read morelocation, timing, and was very professional. I was coming in from the US, so we chatted via WhatsApp. On the day of the proposal we texted back and forth to prepare and take care of any final details and arrangements. Since this was a surprise proposal, she did a great job blending in and looking like "another tourist taking photos". My fiance had no idea! The photos came out beautifully and she truly capture the moments before, during, and after the proposal. It was raining before we arrived at the location and she was kind enough to wait it out until the rain passed. She then captured the rainbow and used it as the first photo in our album which was a nice addition. She even brought flowers and champagne to celebrate! The photos and online album were sent to us within the week. Her rate was very reasonable and straight forward. This is a perfect memory that we can share with everyone.
