The steak was well prepared, but the sauce was a let down, it was just onion baked in lots of butter. I also had sautéed potatoes, but they were rather soggy. In the vegetable department I got one lettuce leaf, one slice of tomato, and some steamed green beans, very limited indeed. The dessert continued in the same direction: the apple pie I ordered was just that: a slice of apple pie on a plate. It wasn't bad though. The beer list is very limited, you can count the beers on the fingers of one hand. The price was low: we paid €58 for apetizer, main course, desert, and drinks.

It is quite a large place compared to many in Saint-Malo, but elegantly appointed. There were a few large groups, and many with young children. They had some formules and hubby took advantage of the €30 formule which offered 4 courses. He chose the foie gras entree, and I ordered the fish soup. His foie gras was absolutely delicious--the ultimate in what we have come to call "meat butter". The fish soup comes with 3 ramekins with croutons, shredded emmental cheese and creme fraiche. The soup was good but missing something that wasn't remedied by any of the additions. My cabillaud plat made up for it. The fish was cooked perfectly and covered in a delicious hollandaise sauce. Even the boiled potatoes were wonderful. The mussel garnish was beautiful and delicious. Hubby's duck was cooked perfectly and came with a delicious sauce as well. His potatoes were cubed and sauteed to perfection. He then had a cheese course with 2 cheeses and dessert. The whole experience was excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.
