If you have visited Venice a few times (or maybe just once) you have tired of tourist junk shops, and even on Murano you may have tired of Chinese glass.
The works of art in this shop are among the most beautiful we have ever seen. We have visited twice now, and each time have taken an hour or more to choose what to buy. In fact, when I returned home from our first visit to Venice, the plumbing in our home had failed and flooded my downstairs office, ruining the floor. When I replaced the floor, I made a tile landing and ordered a beautiful piece from Venice. It's not a flat piece, so isn't perfect for floor installation, but every tile piece is very rugged and because there is not so much traffic on my floor, it's held up perfectly for almost five years now.
Our favorite pieces by far are those with Murano glass included; the artisan (so sorry I've forgotten his name!) first crafts and fires the tiles, then melts Murano glass onto the design and fires again. We have carried pieces home without trouble, even in checked baggage, but as I said above we have ordered and had no trouble with shipment.
Finally, you should note there is a wide range of items and prices available in the store. Unlike many of the finer stores in Venice, they make an effort to have pieces available at all price points.
