When I had to get newborn photos done I was not sure where to go. I found this quaint studio and when I called the voice on the other end of the line was so warm and welcoming. It immediately put my mind at ease about the whole process and made me know I had selected the right studio to get my daughter photos taken. The day of the shoot went seamless, my daughter was not cooperative and the ladies handled it with no problem. The got smiles out of here and even were kind enough to wait for me to get her eyes closed so we could get the ever desired sleeping with a smile shot. It was a dream I am so happy with how it turned out. I know these photos are the ones I will show all our family her family when she starts one at her wedding before her prom all the special occasions. Usually I take photos myself of my family, but I got a hot tip about a great photography studio in the area, so the wife and I decided to check it out. After just having our newborn son for about a week we got professional photos taken and I must say that Studio Bijou (Julia) did not disappoint! We literally just had to show up on appointment day with our son and they got to work! Props, background, and lighting was taken care of and my wife and I didn't have to lift a finger. Very affordable photography and the women there have children of their own so you can trust my friends that they know exactly what they are doing! Girls at Studio Bijou Maternity and Newborn Photography did an amazing job with my maternity session. Photos turned out so beautiful! Their packages are great, they offer full variety of canvas prints and other print options. The session went so smooth and they made me feel very comfortable and beautiful despite me feeling big. (You know how we get self conscious about our bodies while pregnant) Before the session we discussed the styles that I want and the colors of dresses that I want to use. The girls brought lots of options for dresses with them and I also brought my own dresses that I wanted to use. At the end we came up with a perfect combination when all of my pictures looked so different from one another. The ladies that run this operation- Julia and Valeria, are simply two of the loveliest women I've ever had the pleasure of working with. From preparation and process to final product, their communication was clear and their approach was kind, consultative, hands-on, and detail-oriented. Not to mention they are natural "baby whisperers;" since many of the newborn shots required a sleepy state, they patiently and effectively used gentle, nurturing strategies and aids (e.g., white noise machine, swaying, swaddling) to relax my little two-week old before snapping their masterpieces. In doing so, they were able to achieve just the perfect poses and desired shots. I also went with Julia and Valeria for my maternity pictures at my 8 month mark; they made me feel comfortable and beautiful in their little studio, again ensuring that every little detail was perfect.
