Every year, we love coming to the holiday pops and any other special events that sound great. We have been coming since Marvin Hamlish was leading the symphony. The symphony is world class and always sounds amazing. The Mendelssohn Choir always puts on a great show too. We also love the guest singers and guest conductors. It was also nice to see the talented members of the Pittsburgh Ballet. Everyone was so talented. Santa always makes it special for the kids. The song a long is our favorite part. The concert puts us in the holiday spirit. We love seeing what who is appearing every season. It's always a fun night out. Everyone at the theater is always very friendly and helpful.

Arcade Comedy is an amazing gem in the heart of Pittsburgh's Cultural District (downtown). It's BYOB with a $5 corking fee and hey, that's fine with me. It's all about supporting local talent & believe me, the 'Burgh has plenty. Intimate theater and truly not a bad seat in the house. Show tickets are very affordable. They have performances for everyone from improv & standup to sketch and more. It's crazy how much I've laughed at shows. Best way to spend a day or evening. Staff are super rad. My son has delayed potty training due to his autism and was so excited to go to these ninja classes and I was more than happy to stay during the class if he needed a diaper change. So the only problem here is a complete lack of understanding from this company. I used to think highly of this place but from now on I will definitely not recommend this place to any of my friends or family. I personally am sad for my son that he cannot enjoy his ninja class is like every other boy and girl because of his autism. This is discrimination!!!

The week long camp is a highlight of her summer! They dive right into learning Shakespeare, but they also have loads of fun summer games and activities as well. She has also been coached to participate in the Shakespeare competition hosted by Pittsburgh Public. The instructors worked one on one with the kids to hone their monologues and were with them every step of the way cheering them on and coaching them. It was incredible seeing them shine on the competition day! They also host classes and seminars throughout the year for kids of a variety of ages. Their programming is VERY affordable, especially compared to other drama related programs. Watching their productions is always a treat because they usually have unique takes on shows, so even if you've seen a specific play a number of times, you probably haven't seen it like you will at Steel City. I highly recommend either getting involved with education or seeing a performance of Steel City Shakespeare.

The story was wonderful, the actors were outstanding, the audience participation was more that I could have hoped for. What a wonderful experience for these two children. We will not miss any of the future shows. This theater is a hidden gem and I intend to put it on Neighbor Next Door as a "must do." The Rabbit character(outstanding) had so many important ideas for young people to hear about. The Queen(outstanding) learned a good lesson during the show. Every character was a delight in their own way!! If you have children add this to your list to do, you will not regret this theater experience.
