I highly recommend contacting Studio 1, Parkland, FL if you are interested in starting a modeling/acting career. My experience with them from day one of my photo shoot to applying for modeling/ acting jobs have been truly pleasing. The staff took really good care of me during the photo shoot. They were professional, patient, and accommodating. They will provide you with a Modeling Guide to help you get started to land a gig. Also, you will be assigned a mentor around 30 days after your shoot to guide and help you along your journey. I was so thankful for this! Stephani is my mentor, and she has helped me tremendously. She strongly suggested that I join a casting site which I did. I applied for a few jobs so far and have been contacted by one! My takeaway is- Yes, there is a cost for the portfolio if you want the photos from the photo shoot, and YOU have to do the work to get signed, find jobs etc. if you are serious about the industry. My experience at studio 1 was better than I could've imagined. Debbi is the one to reach out to me after I applied and she helped answer all of my questions. Great first impression this business. They are very well run and organized. I was a little bit nervous but once I got there I just felt at peace and coming here felt right. I got my makeup and hair done by Jasmine. She did an amazing job very well experienced and gentle. My photographer was Don, he was the absolute best! He made me feel very comfortable, helped me with poses, hair touches, and of course when to smile. Kriss is the model consultant for studio 1 and she is a very passionate person and really does want the best for her clients. She was very kind and uplifting. I recently had a photo shoot at Studio 1 and it was an absolute blast! The experience of having a professional makeup artist and hairstylist made me feel incredibly special and pampered. The team there is just awesome - such cool and friendly people who make you feel right at home. The studio itself is super professional and well-equipped, which added to the whole experience. Even though Studio 1 isn't a modeling agency, I chatted with other models there who got signed with major agencies thanks to recommendations from the studio. This studio was suggested to me by an agent and I am very pleased with the experience. The provided the hair and make-up which was a very nice additive to the services. Staff was extremely friendly. I work in customer service so I pay very close attention to where I give my business, this place did not disappoint. They were attentive to my needs and you can tell they know what they are doing. Jasmine was my makeup artist, she was amazing, very minimal work and knew exactly what products to use to compliment my sensitive skin. Don't fall for their tricks. One star for the makeup and the process was unclear and ended in $4000 in debt collection after the promise of only being a $50 deposit. Studio 1 has changed their name multiple times and gaslights any feedback when you speak to them on the phone. Unethical in every scene on the word. Do not give them your money they will not make you a model. Update: they will send you to debt collection without giving you the product they are collecting on.
