This testing center is up on the second floor with an elevator available. The building's shared bathroom is clean with multiple stalls and just down the hallway from the testing center. The testing center was clean. Expected protocols were followed and enforced. The lockers are secure for you to leave belongings during your testing. They also have a water station if you aren't allowed to access your belongings (water) during your test.

Then they give you a paper of all the rules and you sit back down. Then they call your number again, you say wha test your taking, show ID, take a photo and are asked to put all items in the lockers the provide. You go to the room they told you to go to, where you show them your pockets are empty and they scan a little wand to look for camera or any cheating devices. They were all very professional and kind. They also ask you multiple times what test you are taking, so it pretty hard to mess that up. I do recommend getting there 30 minutes early if you want to start your test in time.

Being relatively new to the area, I began experiencing sinus issues in the mornings. Since I didn't have a cold, my body could have been resisting local pollen and other airborne allergens. A friend suggested that every morning, I take a small spoonful raw, unprocessed honey harvested as close to my neighborhood as possible. The idea is to consistently expose my immune system to become familiar and "play nice" with the allergens. Zama carries BB honey from good ol' Tustin Ranch, Yorba Linda, and Laguna Niguel. I couldn't get closer to home than T-R! While I'm not certain this natural approach is effective, my sinuses have been happier... and my husband said the honey with its antioxidants is healthier than processed sugar. I also learned that BB sells honey at the Tustin Farmers Market on Wednesdays and that funds support efforts to save the bees. We're very thankful for the hands-on approach offered by the amazing proactive educators and staff at Scholarship Prep. We see the principal Ms Allotey in the drop off and pick up lines daily, something you never expect or witness from "regular" public schools. Scholarship Prep is funded by the US Dept of Education and they have been awarded a California Distinguished School award, the highest prestige elementary schools can receive after only a handful of years it was founded. There are many founding teachers still here on the campus including Ms Allotey and Stephanie has been really instrumental as we just recently enrolled my daughter into TK next year with one of her best friends from preschool! We are so excited to have our children attending as Scholars at SPOC where they can learn emotional, academic, and character building skills in a technology forward brand new campus with teachers like Ms Gutierrez who really care about their scholars! They also utilize Class Dojo which makes it really easy to stay in touch and receive updates daily from the school. The YMCA OC staff, Jacqueline there is really sweet and our son enjoys his time after school completing homework and bonding with his fellow scholars. I was Jason's student for a little over two years, from the time I was in 7th grade to 9th grade. I…read moream now a sophomore in college, but I think about what Jason taught me every now and then. Jason was my first creative writing teacher. At the time, I did not know what writing could look like or do. I liked to read, so I just wanted to copy what I saw. But Jason took me seriously despite my lack of experience and knowledge, so I learned to take writing seriously. He did not focus on formalities and techniques right away. First, he taught me to look for stories in everything I watched and read. He showed me good movies, animated shows, comic books, articles, and more of all genres. What I appreciate most about him now is that he did not look down on any storytelling medium. He taught me not to be pretentious. When I started to write with him, Jason was encouraging and honest. He pushed me to write about myself for the first time. Before him, I did not know you could write about yourself unless you were a celebrity because I had not been exposed to nonfiction. He pushed me to experiment with form because he prioritized expression over formalities. I learned to be critical when editing by watching him edit my writing. I watched him pay attention to how writing sounds in one's head, which informs my writing to this day. He did not force me to write in a specific style, which I realize now is why I even have my own style. I am still writing in creative writing classes here at college and in my free time. If it were not for Jason, I would probably not be writing. I would probably not be at the school I'm in. I would probably not enjoy movies and shows across all genres, and would definitely not look for stories in everything I consume. He really is a great teacher and mentor.
