I am often in the Moss/Rygge area visiting family and friends. Someone had mentioned on an earlier…read morevisit that there was a CrossFit box in town, so I decided to check it out. I found the website easily but had a little bit more trouble finding the actual box (for some reason that I don't fully endorse CrossFit trainers insist on calling their gym a "box"). It is inside the Korpus gym and there is only one small paper sign indicating this. Best just to go into Korpus and ask at the front desk. I had sent a facebook message to the trainer Jeffrey beforehand asking if I could do a drop in, and he said that I was welcome to do a free provetimer (trial class... sorry can't do norwegian letters on my keyboard). Very nice facility and equipment and good workout. Everyone else was in much better shape than me, but I guess I kind of expected that in Norway. Not as chatty as an American CrossFit class where people all talk to each other before, during, and after class... but hey what can you expect in Norway :) My only real complaint is that there are so few classes! As someone who likes to work out first thing in the morning, there were no options. I am likely to return next time I am in town though! Give it a shot! Oh - btw the class is actually in English. This was a pleasant surprise for me because I wasn't sure I would understand the names of the exercises (how does one say Hand Stand Push Up in Norwegian?) but I didn't need to. I guess it could be confusing if you don't speak English, but are there really any norwegians left under 70 that don't speak English?
