I recently used this service for a small move. The two movers who came to move my things were prompt, courteous, and efficient. They were very thorough in explaining everything to me, and were able to move everything in less than the time specified. Even though I was moving to a city 2 hours away, I was able to work with Tristan to determine a price that was very reasonable. All of my things were delivered in perfect condition, even some chairs which I had in the move which had no covering or protection on them. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The only minor criticism of the movers would be that they did not have shoe covers with them, but were very considerate and removed their shoes inside both homes (the one we moved out of and the one we moved into) when asked to. read more

I am very disappointed and discouraged with Strong College Students Moving company. My neighbor five doors down used them and for some reason their driver used my front lawn as the place to turn around, which led to him damaging my mailbox. The driver was a polite young man and explained he was sorry and that the company would cover the cost of replacing it. However, after several months of the run-around with their management Tristan Moesenthal my mailbox is not fixed and the only comments are "claims is working on it".....It is understood accidents will happen, but this business of ignoring and giving someone the run-around is bad business! read more

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS! They showed up in a too small Ryder truck with broken dollies, no moving blankets and inexperienced day laborers. They tore the top off of a brand new cabinet, broke a desk completely in half, packed everything so tight with no protection that my leather furniture is torn, my dining table is gouged and nicked beyond repair, they did not bring the tv crate I ordered and paid for and dropped my 60" tv, slid my white furniture on its side on the filthy Ryder truck floor, broke my floor lamps beyond repair, and the list goes on. They sent a repair man who said the damage was beyond his ability to fix. They did more damage than the move cost and they are refusing to make good on the damage they caused. Well, this is the second time I have used Strong College Students, and once again they wowed the heck out of me! After having moved my mother-in-law's belongings to her Assisted Living Facility, we needed to clean out and move a lot of the other tattered and soiled furniture to the local County landfill dump. Amber had mentioned they could help us with this when we moved to the ALF. So we called this month (January, 2022). WOW!!! Amber and young man by the name of Chance showed up. Update: After contacting the BBB I finally heard back from this company with an explanation for the over-billing. While there were other talking points, one of their excuses was that it took them 4 trips to carry couch cushions. I found this to be hilarious and worth sharing. It was a standard couch with no extra cushioning, so this is absurd. Again, be warned of over-billing. They will charge you for 'long-carrying' distances. Also, if they can't properly find your destination, you will be charged for that too. They do not come equipped with dollies for the move either. Please advise. read more

They were on time, efficient, fast and careful with our furniture. They handled fragile pieces with care, they worked really hard and they were very clean. Their "quote" was 800 and it ended up being DOUBLE - 1600. Ridiculous. They dinged my wall and I am not happy at their lack of customer satisfaction. DO NOT USE. Moving is stressful enough without having a company that is totally irresponsible. The representative came to our house and asked what the most important thing about our move was. I told him a responsible company that respects not only my property but also my time , shows up when they are supposed to and treats us with respect. Full of charisma he agreed and said we could count on them.He told us we would get our quote by the next day.We never recieved a quote or a return phone call. I waisted my time even meeting with them. If they can't even follow thru with a quote how would they have been able to move me. I schedule my move way in advance and paid. On a day of my move, Sunday I had to call them to confirm and was told they are looking for guys for my move. It was scheduled between 9-10. I called again at 10 and was told they don't have anyone to move me. Imagine my situation I had to get out from my apartment on that day and now I don't have movers and it's late Sunday. What kind people do that? I would not recommend anyone to use them unless you want your to be completely ruined. Very rude and unprofessional. Now get my money back. Very disappointing. read more

One mover had his "kiss me" boxers hanging out completely. They failed to properly wrap all my items, and of course they damaged leather furniture, and wood furniture. They are very expensive, and they were late. they answer their cell phones while your paying $109 an hr. Not a good experience. Don't use these people. I am giving one star because the two young men who arrived to move did show up and were very nice guys. However, in our experience this is not a company you should pick for anything other than a few boxes or light item moves, not even two bedroom apartments. It will take all night when other movers we have hired can get it done in 4 hours including set-up or take-down. I have used movers 3 times in my life and the last 2were both done by Strong College Students. They are on time, extremely polite, efficient and most of all a great service for a great price. The first move they just unpacked my U-Haul and then stayed to make sure all the furniture was put back together. My second move I needed to place majority of my items into a small storage unit. I was very impressed with how quickly and well they packed up the storage unit. Booked a move with these folks for a Thursday between 1-4pm. After waiting around for them and realizing they couldn't make it anywhere near that time, we rescheduled for Friday between 1-4pm. They finally showed up at 7pm on Friday. To be fair, when they did arrive the 2 gentlemen were pleasant and efficient. In spite of this, I would NOT recommend them to anyone. read more

I am a Realtor and my sellers scheduled a move and had to be out of the house on February 22, 2019. Scheduled movers never showed causing a multitude of problems. Numerous calls were placed to find out the status of what time they would arrive. Could not get a direct answer and they never showed up! A real nightmare when you are supposed to be out of the house so that the Buyer can move in. Do not use this Company. One man show that has to round up workers. The sun was shining the birds were chirping and our movers were EARLY. EARLY. They were fast and efficient with packing, they got right to it. While their hourly rate is pretty steep they did give $25 off for being a student. They were really careful with the walls and assembling the furniture. It was a significantly better experience than my previous two moves with other companies. Like I said the cost is fairly high, so they are not for the frugal but if you want your belongings in one piece this is the company to use. read more

In all our experience moving through the years, both locally and long distance, this was by far the VERY WORST experiencing we have ever had. That was a horrible move experience We had an estimate done by another moving service in person and they stated a 26 foot truck would be sufficient, so clearly it was the company's error. Our neighbors stated Saturday they watched and could not believe how badly they were placing items in the truck! They packed so poorly that they had to leave numerous pieces of furniture and 3 HD TVs at the house. We had to rent a 14 foot U-Haul the next day to get the several major furniture pieces left behind while they packed boxes first--which we could have easily picked up with our SUV later. All movers stated they would never do it in this manner. They would fit the boxes around the furniture. .Why didn't they call their office and the office advise them to repack? Why would they just leave it without contacting a supervisor? It cost us an additional $164.00 additional for the organizational incompetence. I believe an hour's charge refund for this experience would be in order! I recently purchased a living social voucher for Strong College Students Orlando. The service was great. I needed to move last minute and they were very accommodating to my needs. Both men who showed were very polite and well mannered. They managed to move me out of a 2 bedroom apartment and into another location within 3 hours. A rushed long distance move is really stressful. I was able to book Strong College guys to unload a 20' UHaul truck to my 8th fl condo. Jarrod and Shane were actually early and offered to wait until the scheduled start time. Very polite and really hustled.
