This is owned…read moreby author Louise Adrich and has an awesome selection of her books and other books by indigenous authors as well! This is a great place to go if you want to find unique items or books, but they do also have many main stream popular books too. The childrens section of the store is also really amazing and whoever designed it rocks! there are really awesome childrens books and a spot for kiddos to hangout and read. The staff are really nice and helpful. Prices are typical of most bookstores!

When we arrived we didn't expect much - and were we surprised. This store really has the mystery genre down pat. They have new and used, and they have current titles, and all the oldies. Whatever you are looking for in mystery and thriller, we suspect you'll find it here. Hugo's and Edgar's share the same large storefront on this strip. One entrance gets you in both - Hugo's science fiction on your left as you enter and Edgar's mystery straight ahead of you. I was surprised to find scores of old and new titles here at Uncle Edgar's. Nice location, easy street parking, and free parking in the next door lot on Saturdays and Sundays, and of course a great selection of books. Try this place.

Half of the store is mystery/thriller books and the other half is science fiction. The selection was really good, and there were large sections of used books. The organization of the store was a little chaotic, as each corner of the store had differing genres, and it didn't seem to correlate to this half of the store is mystery and the other half is sci-fi. There were a lot of boxes of books on the floor, so it felt like the place you might want to spend an hour or more treasure hunting for your next great read. The vibe in the store,and how it was organized, is "choose your own adventure". For $3 you could signup for a 90 day membership that earns a 10% discount on purchases. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I believe there is only street parking.

I've picked some books myself doing window shopping, but asked for a recommendation from a staff member and she suggested Running with Sherman - I was a bit skeptical but can attest that it was a tremendous book. Would recommend both the shop and the book. A nice place to check out if you're in downtown WBL. It would be cool if they had a space to hang out and read or for books clubs etc. I'd love to see that addition - not the space since I don't know how that would be possible, but a book club. Could be at Anchor coffee down the street - another local favorite.

It came with a nice book mark and was a signed copy. I browsed the store while vibing to the awesome playlist. This location offers a walking club on the weekends, a book club and exclusive events with authors. If you're in the area, I'd recommend stopping by.

From out of town, but visited this beautiful Black woman owned gem while in Minneapolis. I always…read morelove to visit Black bookstores because they are such important pillars in the community. This one did not disappoint, and has such a soothing layout and vibe that you feel welcomed to linger a while. I purchased a couple books for my reading pleasure and then also found a beautiful Black art puzzle as a gift for my Dad. It's a far trek from Chicago, but when I visit again I will definitely return!

Attended a Yelp week event at Inkwell and so glad it got me back in the space! An adorable bookshop…read morewith a wide range of books - a little something for everyone. They have a cafe in the shop and some seating, which is nice to kick back and relax. I also enjoy their mini art "vending machine" aimed to support local artists (just remember to bring coins!). Each time I've visited Inkwell, it has been busy - people are loving it! Metered parking is available around the shop but be prepared to pay and walk a little bit. It's worth it!

The bookshop is quaint, and even has a resident cat (although he rebuffed my advances of adoration). I liked the bookish gift choices here and picked up an item. The staff were helpful.
