Paid for lessons I never received. Does not return phone calls. Not impressed by lack of communication.

My kid talks about the swim lessons all week long and gets so excited when he's in the pool with John.

If you are sitting on the side of the pool watching, it's pretty uncomfortable. There is plenty of other sitting outside of the pool area that's nice and cool though! I do have to say the teacher we have here, Milton (for the baby and me class) is FANTASTIC! He brings such great energy and keeps all the kids happy and engaged. The instructor we had at another Water Wings was so unenthusiastic we were not sure about giving Water Wings another shot but I'm glad we did. We are still pretty early in the swim lesson journey, so I will be sure to update my review. The baby and me class is 30 mins and it goes by quickly. I love that they have showers and dressing rooms so you can change after the class. They even have some small snacks for sale which is nice if your kiddo gets hungry. I can't wait for us to graduate to the next class up because the process of the kids moving up looks so cute! They award them a special token in the pool and they can pick something out of the treasure chest as an award. I like that they make it something special and celebratory.

My main complaint is that the pool is not very warm.... I'm struggling to motivate my daughter to go back for swim lessons at the Sherman Oaks Water Wings because she says that the pool is too cold.

I brought my 4-year-old son to Aqua Buddies for swim lessons. At first, everything seemed fine…read more During his initial lesson, he worked with one instructor and learned basic skills like blowing bubbles, which was a positive start. However, as we continued, each lesson was with a different instructor, and that lack of consistency made my son increasingly uncomfortable. At his age, familiarity matters, and it became clear he wasn't settling in the way I had hoped. What ultimately led me to write this review, though, was not the instructors--it was the customer service. My interactions with the scheduler/representative regarding scheduling, missed days, and invoices were unpleasant and rigid. There was very little kindness or willingness to work with me, and the communication felt cutthroat rather than supportive. Because of this inflexibility, my son essentially missed out on continued lessons. Instead of working with me as a parent trying to navigate life with two young kids and a disabled husband, I felt pushed out over a missed appointment. In retrospect, I now see how much that experience negatively impacted my son's relationship with the water. I'm writing this while watching my son thrive at Water Wings, where he is happy, confident, and excited to learn. Seeing the difference has made me realize just how behind he became due to how things were handled at Aqua Buddies. Thankfully, there are other options in this city. I truly wish Aqua Buddies placed more emphasis on compassion, flexibility, and customer service--especially when working with young children and families who may need understanding, not rigidity.

After just two sessions, I am still blown away by the progress I've made. I also have very long, thick locs and was concerned about how swimming lessons would affect my hair. Yusuf recommended a swim cap, and to my surprise, my hair has been completely dry after every lesson. I honestly didn't think that was possible! His prices are very reasonable and affordable--truly a worthwhile investment in myself. Scheduling is easy and flexible, and Yusuf is patient and supportive during each lesson. I'm so glad I found this in the Valley and highly recommend Yusuf to anyone looking to build real skills and confidence in the water.

Friends and family tried to teach me but I just got frustrated because didn't feel like I was getting it. So here I was an adult with no swimming experience. I wanted to surprise my husband and learn how to swim for our October Kaua'i trip. I reached out to High Quality swimming and got an immediate response from Noah. We were able to meet at a local pool in the valley. By the first class I was able to swim! I was so excited. Noah is amazing! His teaching style was perfect. Instead of just telling me what to do, he was thorough in explaining why and what I should be feeling in the water. We practiced until I was comfortable with each step. He guided and encouraged me and build my confidence. I am forever grateful. I feel much safer in the water and with more practice I hope to be an even more efficient swimmer. I had a great time in Kaua'i swimming and paddle boarding. Learning how to swim opened up so many new opportunities to enjoy the outdoors!!

It brings me joy! What's weird is people like using the green faux grass strip (aka the sled track) for sit-ups and such. It's not their fault tho, as all the low impacts weights are in the corner right next to the strip. The locker room has a sauna, and there's a nice lounging area just outside the locker room with quality stocked vending machines. The free book library is right there as well. The one problem was the cycle class. It's so so sad because they created an amazing space. It looks like one of those cycle clubs, with a raised area for the instructor, track lights around the mirror, and newer bikes. But we tried a class and realized very quickly why it's only moderately filled. The old dude started by saying we were going to have a cheer off, saying he was working on our public speaking (aka WHAT I DO FOR A LIVING). He kept saying just wait til we get going, that the class would be challenging, but ten minutes in and we were still stretching to classical music. I couldn't stomach it, I had to leave before it "got good." Overall a wonderful facility though, it's always a treat when I'm in the neighborhood.
