We started training just days after my sisters sudden suicide over a year ago, because I needed to…read morebe in my body and out of my head. I've had and not had trainers off and on for decades and I know Im too busy to work out unless there is money and a respect for other people's time on the line. My huz and I live in California half the year and this location is really close to our place in town. We are currently doing dual sessions with Alex, and while they have all been great, Alex has really stepped it up, and found that spot, where each workout takes you as far as you can go and you push through. We would NEVER work out this hard (or consistently) in a gym. He's already setting up the next thing, so you are focussing on endurance instead of where the damn 25s are, working out too hard on the pulley because some fool wouldn't get off the machine for 15 minutes and then invariably pull a muscle and then not be able to work out for awhile. Id LOVE to find someone like Alex back in SF, but I doubt we will. I can't think of anyplace I would recommend more highly.

I've called multiple times, emailed multiple times and even tried to go by in person. Perhaps they're no longer in business, but I have been unable to get a reply after more than a week of trying. Sounds like exactly the approach to wellness I'm interested in, but can't seem to crack the code to actually speak to them. Sigh.

Not enough words to express how happy I was to drop in! I was in town for a conference and just had…read moreto get some energy out. I called and Jordan- the owner was so nice and friendly! When I came through the door I had the nicest welcome from her and she even joined the class and lent me her belt. Class was full and Gregory was awesome in navigating with everyone. It was a pleasure talking to some of the members and super fun to hit some heavy numbers on the clean complex. When you're in town make sure you drop in!

So I had heard very mixed things about this organization over the years. A trainer I greatly…read morerespect told me that they are cult like and if you're not 100% in, you're not in it all. They advertised a six week shape up plan, I spoke to the trainer Kerry over the phone and basically told him what I'm about, not really a joiner, kind of like to do my work and get out of there, in reasonable shape would like to be in better shape for my wedding in December. I was told that I could come in and get measured and then go to my first class which was supposed to be tonight, as they were closed for the holiday, typically it would be Monday Wednesday and Friday for six weeks. I was also told that I could come in and get measured anytime. A six week challenge sounded good, the price was reasonable $350, And I felt like they were worth a shot. I also asked that after three months of self-imposed Covid isolation, I really didn't want to know my weight or fat content and I would be happy to just know how much I lost at the end. On the phone, he agreed, but now the challenger was full, he was not willing to work with me. He also said they would email me paperwork to complete which never arrived. I was so wrong to give this place a chance, I always give people the benefit of the doubt. After just getting back from my future father-in-law's funeral in South Carolina which ate up the last week and a half of my time. I showed up to be measured, not work out, this morning, And was told they were completely full. And I reminded him of the phone call which he then I guess realized he had taken. Now granted there was a class going on I had no idea there was going to be one in progress and I was willing to wait until the class was over or come back later, for the five minutes that he would measure me and put me on the scale. This was even after he told me that they were not at my beck and call (pretty rude) and that they had other paying clients, which of course I realize. I offered to come back at a more convenient time this afternoon. I should have walked out then, this man was acting like a jerk, not a professional. My advice is unless you really want to be part of a fitness community and be there all the time, you may want to look elsewhere. I am not a 'social joiner' as I have a demanding life that requires my full attention. I have enough friends, what I needed was a trainer and maybe some accountability. Kerry then said this wouldn't be a good fit and he didn't suggest that I take part in the class. I asked him if that meant he would not sign me up and he said yes. Who needs this kind of aggravation and by the way they were working out without masks indoors. That alone should have been a red flag. No thanks, more trainers in Nola who want to work.
