We got off here at the first main stop and enjoyed walking around and seeing the church up close. The red domes make it especially picturesque, and the scenery around the church is just as impressive as the church itself. It doesn't take a huge amount of time to visit, but it's definitely worth getting off the boat and exploring rather than just continuing straight to Salet. A beautiful and peaceful stop during our day at Königssee! Pet friendly: The surrounding outdoor area is great for walking with dogs, although dogs generally aren't permitted inside the church itself.
