As any long time California resident knows, we don't get a lot of rain compared to other areas of the country. Because of climate change, we have started experiencing atmospheric river storms as witnessed in the last few weeks. We experienced a leak during the week between Christmas and New Years and when I called their office, I learned that they were closed until Monday, January 5. Well to my surprise. I received a call back from their office asking about the severity of the leak and whether I needed immediate help or could it wait until they had everyone back to work on the 5th. I had a bucket collecting water and the leak was small enough that I decided it could wait. On the 5th, I received a call back from the office asking if they could send two repair people that afternoon to inspect and repair the issue. I was not home but my wife was, and she said that the gentlemen were prompt and thorough and explained what they saw and what did to correct the leak. I am not writing this as a novice to the problems in the construction industry, I am now retired but worked 40+ years in the window and door portion of the industry from owning my own company and working in sales for a billion-dollar wood window company (Marvin Windows and Doors). If anyone knows of Marvin, they are a company that prides themselves in producing one of the best wood windows in the industry as well as providing exceptional service. Well, Wonderlin is right there with them. I will continue recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof and not having a lot of issues to worry about.

During the job, I paid an additional $200 in cash requested by the technician on site when he said some additional scope wasn't included in the $1,200 project. Later, the company stated they had no record of that payment and billed me for the full amount. I informed them of the payment and disputed the balance. I asked for documentation and clarification on their accounting, but that was never provided. Communication became focused on collection and lien warnings rather than investigating the payment issue. I was pretty shocked how aggressive they were in their phone calls and emails. I recommend that customers keep detailed records and receipts for any work done with this company.

I've been using Steve for over twenty years, he's local and an expert and does high quality work for a fair price. He's also an expert and problem solver, so just show him the work, and watch in awe. We had rusty gutters in need of replacement, and the property management firm had a company from out of town ready to replace everything at a very high price, and with aluminum gutters. I immediately called Steve and he did a free inspection, and told me what needed to be replaced, as opposed to ripping everything out, and gave me a fair price. He was also an expert on the Home Owners Association paint schemes, and was willing to paint the gutters to match the authorized patterns, something that was a lot more complicated then I realized. I thought the gutters and downspouts were just white, and he showed me what needed to be done. He works fast, cleans up after the job and delivered on time. He is a gem, and comes highly recommended. We always turn to him, when we need work done in this area.
