I'd forgotten all about Strathcarron's arrival to Stirling since it's so new to town and also because it's on a hill; the last charity shop as you head out of the centre and up to the old town. I stopped by not long after opening and I was a little disappointed with the stock and the store lay out. It felt a little hectic, which is understandable since they had not long opened. I'm pleased to say that I visited today and there's some really great quality second-hand goodies to be found. I'm going to go and say something controversial but I think I actually prefer this shop to the established Strathcarron vintage shop in B of A; this one feels a lot more organised and the range of stock appeals more to me. - It's more modern and the focus is on clothing as opposed to bric a brac.
I laid eyes on a gorgeous and brand new Harris Tweed bag. Darn it, if I wasn't so skint I may have just indulged. - Just one example of the treats to be found here! Some really lovely evening dresses too, including some pretty little garments with their tags still on. I'm excited for what I might find next time!
I love heading back to somewhere I visited previously only to be pleasantly surprised the second time around. Strathcarron, you've made it on my 'charity shop jaunt about town' list, and I'll be seeing you soon! read more
