After researching online, I reached out to GavTax for CPA advise on how to maximize tax benefits. Sonia at GavTax immediately followed up with me. We had a free initial call to see if their services could help. After that, we scheduled a 1 hour consultation. Sonia was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. I sent her a list of questions the day before our consultation which Sonia then used to create a powerpoint presentation which answered in detail everyone one of my questions and she addressed things I didn't even think about. Additionally, Sonia provided recommendations and connected me with firms that specialize in creating an LLC and completing a Cost Segregation Study plus bonus depreciation for additional tax benefits. Throughout the process Sonia communicated clear expectations and cost estimates for their services. I plan to also use GavTax to file my 2026 tax return. I highly recommend Sonia and GaxTax for tax help!.

I'm a new business owner and wanted to make sure that my foundation and core understanding on my business for tax purposes and accounting were top notch. I rather prevent fires than to chase them and hiring a professional for a service that I'm not proficient on is key. The whole process from the start of scheduling, to the meeting(s), the results and education on getting my business set up on accounting and tax fronts was seamless. They helped me set up my Intuit TurboTax accounting software and integration with my daily business actions, answered my MANY questions that I had about EVERYTHING since this was foreign to me, are always so prompt and professional over the phone, in person, and over e-mail, Gary and his team are beyond patient and understanding, and one truly feels like you are a friend and really welcomed and appreciated. She handled everything with ease and professionalism. Guided us through the Audit battle with the IRS and steered the ship back on course. Today I want to rave about Joe Webb, Senior Tax Professional. I had an investment opportunity arise in which I wanted to know the tax implications it would have next year. Joe was not only very thorough in his answers, but was able to clearly and knowledgeably "dumb down" the complicated situation for me to feel confident in moving forward with a decision. Not only did he just give general advice, but he took the time to open up my client folder and tell me specifically what to look out for and some potential strategies. It is so rare to find a company these days where client relations and service is top priority. By the way, I live in Austin, TX, and for the last 6 years have made all my appointments via phone/email. I have never been into the offices, but still get treated like a VIP!

She messaged me right away; I assumed she was concerned about the 1-star rating. She called me several times and texted me saying how sorry she was. I did call her back to kindly let her know I already found another CPA. She convinced me to drop my CPA and went with her instead just to string me along for over 2 weeks with no intention of working on my taxes. She also made accusations about how I switched CPA every year which I have been with the same CPA for over 20 years. She would ask for sensitive documents; I would upload them to the portal within hours. Then I do not hear from her for days. She would text me again days later saying she has questions and would like to schedule a phone/zoom/google meeting. Then I would respond saying I can talk and asked for a time that will work for her. Saturday was one of the options she gave me so I asked if 1pm works for her, she then accuses me of not being reciprocal and weekends are her rest and family time. I will be filing a complaint to the State Board of Accountancy. She is very unprofessional and unethical. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy.
