The only gripes I had with the place were that they allow in dogs (not a problem in and of itself, but not all dogs are good at keeping to themselves and there was quite a fuss) and also for some reason coffee = hot coffee flavored milk? Could just be a Dutch thing, but for travelers hoping to enjoy the end of their meal with a cup of black coffee, beware!

I came to Matour on a Sunday eve after a sunny beach day. The staff took a while to notice us at…read moreour table. When we tried to order drinks and dinner, we learnt that much of the food was no longer available: no more salads, no spaghetti, no penne - for an Italian restaurant! There were some food options left, but the waitress kindly informed us that it could take up to 1-2 hours to get served. We thanked her for being honest with us, cancelled our drink order, and walked over to the next strandtent instead, where we had a great meal.

First, this place is by the beach, so automatically it already has great ambience and view, so…read morethat's three star earned. I ordered the shrimp salad with mini barley pasta. It was light and delicious, and the drink was limoncello with tonic and thyme. My son ordered the kiddie meal pizza. The cheese was delicious, they probably used Gouda, it was yummy. Overall the experience was great and worth the four star.
