It's however best known for the huge unfinished holiday resort located roughly 100m away from the beach, which was built between 1936 and 1939, but never really finished and has since been used for a number of things Eight large buildings spanning a total length of 4.5 kilometers designed to house 20.000 guests, sit right there on prime real estate and have been waiting for a real use since the time they were built. Sad really, but atm they're refurbishing two of the houses into luxury apartments - so Prora will see some action in the future after all!

Dieser Strand ist, wie überhaupt die ganze Insel, einer der schönsten Deutschlands…read more Superfeiner, weißer Sand, ca. 100m breit. Das Wasser ist, abhängig von der Wetterlage, sehr sauber und kristallklar. Nicht ganz so voll wie die Hauptbadeorte gilt T'Heide immer noch ein wenig als Geheimtipp.
