They also have a huge selection of other produce (potatoes, fruits, broccoli, swiss chard, etc) as well as various herbs and beans. You can go straight to them, buy from them at the farmers market or they drop off weekly at various school and civic area's which is very convenient (one is our son's school)! They also supply the fresh produce for various restaurants in town such as Lucky 32's, Printworks and Green Valley Grille. I love to cook and it is awesome to have fresh produce to cook throughout the various seasons. In addition, they have their own cured meats and sausages which are very good in their own right.

You'll find the freshest picked everything, from cucumbers to tomatoes and all points between. The market is fully covered, providing some much needed shade, and there are some permanent vendors that have an indoor facility such as an ice cream parlor, candy and fudge, general store, etc. There are full bathroom facilities on site, and even a restaurant called the Moose Cafe at the back which served southern favorites. Of course, what is offered depends on the season. You'll find a bounty of selections starting in late spring, through the summer, and into the fall. In the winter, produce starts to become more sparse, but there is no shortage of places to buy your Christmas tree if you celebrate with one of those. Best advice is to bring cash, but many vendors can take a card these days. You may get charged a little extra for using plastic in some spots though, and to help with these folks margins, cash is preferable.

Follow them on Facebook to keep up with what's available and hours of operation. Once you arrive, you can get an empty basket or bucket from under the shelter and head off to pick your peaches or berries and return to the shelter with your harvest where they will weigh it and ring up your purchases. Today was opening day for the 2017 season, the peach trees and blueberry bushes were loaded. The peach I ate when I got home was awesome. Also be sure to check out Jasper at "Jasper's Fresh Squeezed Lemonade" here at Buttermilk Creek, Jasper sets up his lemonade stand here and offers some cold beverages which was a refreshing treat after pickin' peaches in the summer heat.
