Fred Molai is really one of the most honest persons I know, and I've known Fred for over 27 years. How can I describe Fred? That's easy. First and foremost, he is honest. Easy to talk to. Enjoyable to talk to. Friendly and nice. He has a "magic" effect that makes people like him. He's good at saying "please," "thank you," etc. He's easy to like. He likes being with other people. He always thinks about other people when he does something or talks to someone. He shows that he understands and cares about other people's problems. He understands other people's problems well. He is very good at trying to help people see both sides of a situation. He says what he really thinks and feels. He's direct, fair and honest. He is ambitious, goal-driven, focused on achievement, competitive, organized, proactive, and in control. He is a hard-worker and someone who is skilled and diligent at his work. He is very dependable and he always keeps his promises. He is considerate of others. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. The mechanics there are very skilled and hard workers as well. They do exhaust, mufflers, radiators, water pumps, brakes, shocks and struts, alternators, cv joints, oil changes, water pumps, fuel pumps, fuel tanks, fuel lines, brake lines, power steering, ball joints, wheel bearings, starters, etc., etc... I highly recommend Stow Mufflers and Brakes to anyone who wants the job done right and priced fairly. Drop in and see Fred. Tell him Joel sent you and he'll give you a great deal. read more

They have always been great, excellent service with very prices. I would highly recommend them.

Fast talker, will over charge and not fix problem I came in for. Quoted $650 for back brakes and rotors and Caliper. I pay a total $898 plus $20 for inspection which was very shady read more

Great service at a reasonable price. Fred was friendly and knowledgeable and was able to order my parts and have installation done within 24 hours. I had not gone here before and took the chance according to existing ratings, I'm glad I gave them a chance. I would use them again without hesitation and would recommend. I had my exhaust system replaced on an older car. Thanks Fred, great job. read more

Fred was very helpful and knowledgeable! He was very courteous and didn't rush me.

Tell your friends, family!! Fred took the time to accurately provide a price to replace my rusted exhaust pipe, and happily worked with me to get the price down to be more reasonable for my 17yr old car with 200,000 miles on it. A low cost repair is what I needed. Thank you Fred! read more

Went to get a brake job and unfortunately that's what I got...a break! They stripped a lug nut and the owner Fred tried to blame me. He would talk over me and not answer my questions while I remained calm. When I asked him to lower his voice because we were disagreeing and he was escalating things, he went off the deep end and started cussing me like a dog, was very threatening in his body language and said he was going to call the police on me. I told him he should call the police...and then he didn't because he knew he messed up and I wasn't backing down. Now I have to go somewhere else for my original problem in addition to the one he created. STAY AWAY! read more

The owner Fred was a gentleman and a kind human being for doing as much as he did to provide me with service for merely repairing an exhaust system in three places on my Toyota today. He greeted me at the front counter and began talking with me. He estimated the expected cost and explained what was likely to happen after examining the car from below. He wanted a customer. He drove me to my house after I left the car at the repair shop early in the morning. He picked me up at home two or three hours later and drove me to the bank for me to get money for paying the bill for the repair. He waited at the bank for me to obtain the cashier's check for payment. He provided me with a detailed sheet about the costs with correct arithmetic. He gave me a chance to look over everything that was outlined in writing on the paper. He drove me back to the repair shop. Conversation in both directions were about different topics. He explained the nature of the repair and discussed unexpected problems or discoveries to add extra layers of protection in the exhaust system. He was honest and easy to talk with. Reasonable rates and an honest discussion about parts and labor for all that was done. Andre was the person who did the work and I spoke with him twice. Andre did contribute to the analysis of the problem and the brief discussion of the suggested repair. I had never met Fred or the other man before. I just went there for a second opinion about reducing costs for the repair with out having to replace the entire system. Fred granted me what I wanted. Something good about this service and small repair shop as well as with Fred the owner. There is enough for me to find much to praise him about. I recommend that you take your car for service of this kind to this repair shop in Stow. Andre is a good worker. read more
