If i'm being totally honest when you first get there you think everything is okay and that you can do it... but one thing i'm sure parents don't take into consideration and something im seeing mentioned very vaguely is what they hide from the parents my experience was terrible and i was only there for 4 months imagine what the girls there longer had to go through Also the distance between you and your parents (for girls with distance) it is horrible . As mentioned in one review they take all of your clothes and make you "earn it" while some of the staff were very helpful at times others were terrible and rude and mean, while for me chores were no big deal some things were over board, i also saw mentioned that they would make us run the track as punishment, what is worse for girls with "no privileges" we were forced to wear crappy black cheap flats that by the way did not fit me which caused me to always be falling or hurting myself not only while running but in general. They make the girls ``work as a team" but then treat everyone unequally and act like some of the girls had committed murder some girls were not able to even close restroom doors (which do not have locks) . During winter we were forced to wear pants only (i only had one pair) while that may be partly on my parents, they did not supply me with any despite having the resources and having extra so i had to wear the same pants because if i wore shorts i would be docked for not listening to staff. Another thing including resources even if your parents send it they do not let you use all of your things if we ran out of deodorant we were not allowed another the period for a deodorant stick if i remember correctly was a month or maybe a month and a half, they limited us on Women's hygiene products (PADS ,TAMPONS ,ECT) which was so disgusting and if u dont get it then ask a woman because your cycle can vary and change at any time many time we had to ask staff for those products. Many of the staff were very helpful and so sweet i'm not going to name drop because i do not wish to cause them any inconveniences, some were not, i once got scolded for 30 minutes because i did not wish to say the Pledge (United states Pledge) which i did not wish to say do to religions and personal beliefs, i explained that and still got scolded and told my beliefs were dumb, Many girls i believe same as me did not take well to having to listen to them bash Californians at every turn which 78% of girls were californian, also them making us all sit around while they fed us one sided things about how trump is good and all of that bs i for one don't really care for either trump or biden but i would prefer it not be shoved down my throat. I have seen many girls manipulated and wronged. You couldn't tell your parents about how u felt over the phone or even if you cried or asked them to come get you, or you would get docked which can cause you to lose your rank i also feel like there were a few underlining things about race going on there but i wont get into it too much, you were not able to speak any language except english even if it was your native language, THEY DID NOT CARE they don't care about your religious beliefs at all. I feel as though I am rambling but I hope that this review can help a girl not get put in a place that will break her down and put her in a terrible place. These are all things that have happened to me or I have seen favoritism the manipulating even breaking up girls' friendships. (which is all we really had there) if i'm being honest i think it more about the money they do certain things to keep you there or at least that's how i see it. I also feel as though my experience there was a bit different from others. I am not mentally ill. The problems I was sent there for were a bad attitude which I will admit I have lol and honestly who wouldn't in those circumstances and disrespecting my parents. NO drugs or Alcohol never touched that shi in my life, don't wish too, i said that to say that while some were saved by the program its not the same for everyone when i went their were some felons and drug addicts and some like me and i'm not trying to be rude to the girls but those are the correct terms and some of those girls were my friends i have nothing against them. Parents please consider your child's actions before sending them away in my cause it was a mixture of certain things and i had given up and Storm Ridgie did not help with it at all There are too many things they don't mention to the parents they HIDE it and for good reason i mean many of those things are really brutal. I feel like maybe that just too much power for those people to have over the girls not in a being told what to do way but more of a getting what they want (Benefiting) i feel there way of doing things is kinda problematic but hey lol, There are many more things i may not remember and some i just really do not want to go into detail about, i went there July 7th 022 RAN OUT OF SPACE read more
