Storm's brushed stainless steel aesthetic may have seen hotter days, in fashion terms. Watches and jewellery that put you in mind of the Matrix don't really go with the current vogue for trad, British, country style exemplified by the Barbour brand, flat caps and Aubin and Wills. Nor does it really go with the soft floaty florals that high street shops like Topshop and New Look are pushing. But although it may be a little out of time (the look, not the actual watches, LOLZ) if you give Storm a browse, they do still sell some pretty decent items, at very reasonable prices. When I went in to the small store in Bond Street , the man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful too, and although they don't make the particular design that I liked any longer he pointed out a few alternatives without being too pushy. Having already weathered many fashion seasons not in their favour, I'm sure Storm will last it out until the minimalist, futurist look comes in again. Until then, if you are looking for a decent watch at an affordable price, it is still worth bearing in mind. read more
