I am a big fan of Storage Mart! Tom was the one who checked me into my units and he was extremely helpful (and patient). I had gone back and forth a couple times on which units I wanted, where they were located and how many I was going to rent, but Tom never made me feel bad about it. He showed me to my units, made sure they were clean beforehand, explained all the charges and how everything works. He was an excellent host. This facility does close at 10pm every night so you are unable to access your units after that. I knew that going in and it doesn't bother us or effect us at all, so it's not a problem. The system to get into the facility is easy, and we got great spots so it's very easy access from the parking lot. I feel like our stuff is safe there and I've never had any problems going in or out. Also there were some huge promotions when we first started renting so it was hard to beat! These deals were more than the best around at that time, and now that the prices increased from the promotion, they prices are about the same as the nearby locations. Keep in mind, their prices usually do chsnge every year I think? So nothing is set in stone. read more

Horrible company. I am renting in Ft. Lauderdale. The message when you cal says press two to speak to a the property manager, however, the employees who work there feel no obligation to answer the ohone. Bottom line is when you need to contact them you might as well drive there.. In my case my credit card expired so they called me one time.. I did not have my wallet with me so I told them I would call right back. I called three times the same day and six other time since that day.. they never once answered the phone. Instead they removed my discount and added a penalty fee called an overlock fee to my account.. doubling the storage cost. When I called corporate to explain I needed to update my payment info.. the woman who answered the phone was very nice.. took my payment.. but was unable or unwilling to remove the penalty fees from my account. Basically what they did is held my property hostage and doubled my storage cost... because they did not do what the machine said they would do. If they don't want to answer the phone.. remove that option! Tell customers that no one is available at the office... the truth is this is crap. I've been in the office and have heard the phone ring.. they just ignore it. Everyone's credo cats expires from time to time. I also use Lackland, Uncle Bobs, and other storage locations. all are much better options. Avoid this company. read more

Best storage place EVER! I moved to Sacramento & needed to clear out my unit but had lost my key. JP happened to be by me when i was talking to my boyfriend about needed to get the lock cut off & kindly went out of his way to help me out. Literally dropped what he was doing! JP also helpfully answered all my questions & offered advice on how to move things out! Tim, the manager, was also amazing with helping my mom (who is on the lease) take care of the paperwork over the phone since she couldn't be here with me. I have been renting a unit for at least 8 years maybe more. I have always been pleased with the mgr. and never had any issues. BUT lately I am very uncomfortable going to my unit alone. I know there are a few not just one but a few people living in units. The other day when I was at my unit, a man was washing his Tupperware - throwing dirty water and then placed a plastic bottle that looked like urine by a car. It was gross, unsanitary and unsafe. I don't believe it's legal to live in a storage unit. Very disturbing. read more

She has obvious experience, helped me with everything i needed and cleared up alot of miscommunications i had with other companies and the storage office. She really knew what she was talking about and got straight to the point, all while being descriptive. I had no more questions after letting her explain to me the process. It truly was the help i needed. My end to all the calling around for quotes. She even had me feel like a personal friend. She made me laugh and kept me intrigued with good news after the next. I live across the country and had to get my son a storage...quick. I called StorageMart in Concord, CA and Tim was very helpful and made it so easy. I do not recommend Storage Mart at this location. It was the worst experience I've had with renting a storage unit. My family and I decided to store some large furniture and boxes. After a few visits to drop off belongings, we realized the storage room next to us had a couple living there and would be constantly smoking weed. Our belongings started to smell like it. And several cars would be constantly parked in front of our storage unit like it was a place to hang out. It felt really unsafe to leave our things there and it was not worth paying such amount. I would look at other spots to rent a unit that is cleaner and safer. read more

We have had a storage here for quite awhile and have had a great experience. Recently, we downsized and the Facility Manager Tim Mauroni was professional, accommodating and made the transfer smooth and easy. Tim clearly takes pride and ownership in his property and it shows from the cleanliness of the grounds, operations of the mechanical gates, all the way down to the use of utility carts that all operate perfectly. Most people would not notice all the little things that Tim does throughout the property that sets this storage facility aside from others. I would probably bet this is the best run facility In The company's portfolio. Keep it up, it shows and it is noticed!! read more

I finally was able to retrieve my belongings and they were in great condition. Robert helped me close out my storage unit and was a great resource. My dad had a storage unit here and my sister and I had to deal with it for him. Tim and the other staff were very helpful in the entire process. Dealt with them over the phone originally and in person when we unloaded the unit. I cannot say enough good things about the process and assistance from Tim and his staff. I recommend this storage facility and have dealt with other places in the past. Even though they were losing business with us closing out a storage unit they were more than helpful. It was a daunting job with going through a 10x10 unit of our Dad's stuff and they made it as easy as possible. We are very thankful for that. Do not rent with these people !! Online price is not permanent its only for the first month ! Which is NOT stated ! I took screenshots of everything and was told today that per corporate that is irrelevant! I talked to a rep TWICE before i moved in. On the 21st of may i put in a reservation for the 31st not once did the rep state that even though my reservation is for the 31st i would have to pay ONE day later ! Which makes the discount i got for going online irrelevant because it comes out to more . I will be paying 3 times in 30 days !!! This is ridiculous and horrible service. I brought them service as well i will be sure to spread the word as much as i can about this company and their practices. I will be ending my contract as soon as i return !! read more

A nice place to use but i was more than annoyed when i called in to get a 2nd storage as mine that i have here already was too full to add anything. I called and asked if i could get a discounted rate on a 2nd unit. Now there was zero appreciation for me even renting a spot there already and the most definitely could not possibly help me with such a request..... Such BS. This place is very shady. I rented a unit and unfortunately the lock wasn't the right kind. However you don't expect an employee to abuse that situation. They should have emailed me or called me and let me know that I need to use another type of lock. So when I went to my unit I find a lock on one of my boxes. An employee who I had talked with at the time I moved in approached a little bit after I discovered the lock. I asked him whose lock it was. He said his. I asked why was it in my storage. He said it wasn't. I said yes it was on top of that box. The then said are you sure you didn't find it outside of your locker. What a character!!! So I go down and tell the manager. He was even worse. Very defensive and said as long as nothing was missing I shouldn't worry about it. He was very rude. Dear Matt, thank you for your kindness. My concern is really for the attitude of the Manager. This is serious. He does not belong behind a desk working with people. He needs to be working alone somewhere!!! read more

So My fam has had their storage unit here for days and now I have my own. (damn how the hell did I accumulate so much stuff over the last five years?) The process of getting my unti near my parents last minute was easy peasy. They have hours that work with us working class girls, and there is always a little hand cart waiting there for you so I don't have the be that chick in heels trying to lug stuff into an elevator. There are people on site so I feel safe having my things there. They also had a great deal for 99% off the first month so that was a super big incentive. Another thing I liked about this place was they have all the lights on timers so they are doing their part to try to be eco (and cost) friendly. I was supposed to have an appt yesterday, while enroute my car had a problem. I left a message on the machine stating I couldn't make it because my car needed to be towed. Within 30 minutes I received a phone call from Eden not concerned about the appt but concerned about my welfare, whether I was safe and unhurt. She said to not worry they would hold the unit for 1 more day. She was kind, caring, this is above and beyond customer service. Thank you Eden you brightened up my day. I was in need of a storage unit a few months back and having no idea where to go I settled on StorageMart. Why? It was the closest to where I lived and it offered 99% off the first month. I went in and spoke to the general manager, Tim - who easily has the best customer-service skills I've ever experienced. That's no exaggeration, either and I really want to acknowledge it. It is rare to deal with someone who clearly appreciates the people they deal with, and takes the time to truly address the real needs of their clients. He answered all of my questions and showed me a unit that he felt would fit my needs. There was no rush. No up-sell. I walked away happy and confident in my decision. It's always the little things that either impress or annoy and thankfully there's lots of great little things about StorageMart. I appreciate that Tim has addressed me by name from the moment he was aware of it. Whenever I have needed special accommodations he has come through - and cheerfully. He has returned calls and emails promptly. The location is easy to get to and I've never experienced any issues getting in or out of the complex. There has always been carts available to use (and I've been there at pretty much every hour of the day, every day of the week). The grounds are kept clean and there's no seedy people hanging around. Rest assured your stuff will be safe. Granted, I have nothing to compare StorageMart with as it has been my only experience with storage but as far as a general business I can happily recognize it as top notch. When you're dealing with personal belongings it's all about piece of mind. I never once worried about my things or the people in charge. A lot of that has to do with the fact that the general manager, Tim, has made it a point to be so personable. Paying my bill online was easy, and there were never any hiccups - there's other ways to pay, too. The front desk also has a large array of packing materials - boxes, foam, even locks to lock up the unit. I didn't purchase anything but the prices seemed competitive. By all means do your research and check around, but I suggest checking out StorageMart first. I did and it saved me a countless number of potential headaches. read more

I drove out here an hour from Stockton in hopes of getting a decent sized storage unit. After constant struggles with recording vocals in a loud apartment surrounded by screaming hoodrat children, I figured it would be best to set up a studio elsewhere. My cousin reccomended this chain to me and said it was the best storage place in Northern Cali, and when I looked at their website and saw they allowed band/music practice and had electrical outlets so I figured it would be a perfect match for me. Called Storage Mart up and didn't understand a word from the prepubescent lispy nasally white boy (it was a different guy though) so I figured I'd go in and ask face to face. I walked in and saw some elderly wannabe Mafia fake tough guy with slicked back hair at the cash register, so I should've automatically assumed the place was a dump and left. But being the naive individual that I am, I went up and talked to the guy. I politely asked "Hey, do you guys have any medium storage units available?". He shouted the word "NO" at me as if I was a pet dog or a small child. Not "No, I'm sorry." or "No, but would you like to be put on a waiting list?", just an angry "no". So I asked him if he had any larger units available, to which he got more defensive and upset. "NO. *awkward pause* People have already bought all our available storage units. Every. single. one. Lucky us, huh?" said the 65 year old Elvis impersonating cashier in the most sarcastic aggressive tone I have ever heard. Who the f even says stuff like that? Then the dude just completely turns away from me, looking outside the window beside him with some strangely depressive, cold face. So I said "Alright, well thank you for your time. Sorry to bother you" and he just ignored me, continuing to gaze out the window in a depressed manner. Definitely a weird, unhelpful dude. I understand being a 65 year old man making minimum wage is probably an extremely depressing scenario, so that's why I'm giving this place two stars instead of one. Maybe you'd be happier if you actually went to college and got a real job besides shouting "No" at people and making people feel stupid for not knowing something they couldn't have possible known. read more

If the customer service is as bad as how a worker from here treated me, then I would never get a storage here. I'm a vendor and was calling on a AMPM that is right next door. I pull into the parking lot and park in a shaded area. I'm in my car for no more then 3 minutes when I see I car pulled all the way to my bumper. I roll down the window to be told that this is private property and I can't park here. I explained that I was a vendor for AMPM and didn't know that this was not their parking lot. He replied that it's the storage parking lot, not AMPM and I can park for 5 minutes. Now it's all in how you deliver something. He was extremely rude and a complete ass. I have no problem moving into another parking spot that belongs to AMPM, but I sure didn't need to be spoken to that way. read more

This place is great if your looking for a storage unit. Tim and Jason are great guys and will help you with the paper work and get you into the right size unit right away. You can make monthly payments, online, in person, or over the phone, the office personnel are very helpful. Came here after having looked up that they do a electronics recycling program here. You walk in and sign in with your information and declare what kind of stuff you are bringing in, the guy at the counter tells you which storage unit to drive to and you just drop it off and leave, it's that easy. Super convenient and the man behind the counter was very warm and easy going. Sorry I can't comment on the storage aspect really but if I were in the market for such a service I would definitely give this place a try based on my experience with the recycling. The units look orderly and the place is well kept from what I've seen. read more

Warning!!!! Do not rent these units. They are completely rat infested and insurance doesn't cover anything. We lost all of our children's childhood memories. All of our stuff is covered in thick rat feces and urine. The manager Roland is impossible to get ahold of and rude. The insurance company they use are frauds. Now we file a law suit. read more

Needed a storage for my 1 bedroom apartment. Manager was very nice, patient and courteous. Was quickly shown the most deireable unit for what I needed and was signed up and gone within an hour. I had to go back and get all of my paperwork printed out because I misplaced it during my move and again manager was beyond helpful with getting me everything I needed. I also love that my unit is behind a locked gate, in a secured building that is unit is temp controlled!! read more

I have been with StorageMart for 1 year and 5 months now. It has been a great place... UNTIL I got my SECOND notice to increase my rent next month. Between the 2 increases, it's about $30 more than what the current internet price is for the same size unit! When I tried to talk to the manager to maybe negotiate a price, I was told that it was the company policy - to raise rates after 6 months and every year after that. I guess they would rather make money off new customers rather than keeping long term customers. Very disappointing... and Time to move out. read more
