We moved out of our 10x15 storage unit yesterday that was our furniture's…read moretemporary home and now that we are unpacked, I'd like to report that all our belongings are in perfect shape! Our realtor recommended Guardian Storage but before booking a unit, I price checked it. (The website was fancy so I thought it would be too pricey.) The price was totally in line (even cheaper) than other outfits that I checked...(note, Guardian does not have outdoor units, which is not what we wanted - we had to store two fridges, washer, dryer, and we did not want them to get "funky" in a hot outdoor storage unit. Low and behold, they did not have any funk smell!) The facility is SUPER clean. The locks are these cool little gadgets...but you have to buy that separately. There was plenty of space for our large moving truck. The owner (who is super nice and helpful) keeps moving dollies, carts, and such on site - so that's helpful. Don't count on this company to help you if you have any issues with your U-Haul! We rented from…read morethem ( got talked into buying extra insurance... WASTE of money) Truck broke down after 2 hours! Had to spend the night before they could bring us a new one. We were told they would compensate us for hotel/meal. Absolutely didn't! They sent out TWO men to reload our whole house of furniture and they didn't secure our dining table. It fell over, leg broke off, top all scratched! They say they aren't responsible, U-Haul is, U-Haul won't take responsibility, the insurance company won't cover it! Guthries say they only rent out the trucks ( not responsible). So buyers beware!!!!

The two ladies working there were extremely helpful and nice. They even suggested I drop the truck off near our new house instead of driving it back to Madison in order to save money. I would recommend at least giving them a try.
