Inside it definitely has the diner feel to it, with old product signs and pictures on the walls. Most of the options on the menu are american style... however, pastel and feijoada take away from the authenticity. Besides that the food portions are very large. The appetizer of cheddar bacon fries are big enough to be a full meal, and they are delicious. My boyfriend got the power burger and couldn't finish it. The ribs which looked amazing were probably more than I could eat and about R$46, so I decided otherwise. I ordered a combo deal where you choose a hamburger/cheeseburger/cheesedog + fries or onion rings + milkshake for only R$26. I thought that was a really awesome deal, which helped in my decision. They also have cherry coke here which is soooo yummy and reminds me of when I was a little kid.

The burger was the best I found in SP. Not only was the good great and the service very friendly to a non-Portuguese speaking group, the atmosphere felt very hip. Highly recommended, especially if you're a visiting American and looking for some "comfort food"!

Today, on a cold Wednesday night, a buddy and I stopped by again and finally got to try it out. They have a nice rustic style and open burger style kitchen. I've walked past this place a thousand times and always told myself it must be great with the lines…read morethey usually have. I finally gave in to my curiosity and decided to try it for myself...and I'm glad I did! I don't eat burgers very often because I try to keep it healthy and most of them are not worth the calorie sacrifice. This one was well worth it! I decided to go all the way with the burger, bacon, cheese, and grilled onions. First thing I noticed was that the burger filled up the bun: no tiny piece of meat hiding inside a huge bun here! Second thing I noticed was that the cheddar cheese completely covered the meat, but didn't hang over so much that it spilled onto the paper instead of the sandwich. Then I bit into it and was happy I finally stopped. From the first bite, it was great: the cheddar cheese had a great melted texture and was just sharp enough. Then I really started to hit the grilled onions by the second or third bite and realized why the lines were so long. I could've just eaten an entire bowl of those grilled onions! Between the sharpness of the cheese, the sweetness of the onions, and the saltiness of the bacon, it really was a great burger. I tried the burger with the mayonnaise (which is served on the side for anyone not a fan of mayo) and am still not a fan of mayo on a burger. I tried some of the mustard that was handy on the counter and felt more at home. But honestly, I ate most of the burger with neither because I didn't NEED mayo, mustard, or ketchup to enjoy the burger! I usually judge my burgers by how messy they are....if you don't need a pile of napkins, then it's just not good. But this burger made me realize a burger can hold its juices well enough to be tasty without having to drip down my arm. Like another reviewer said: they are able to keep it simple because they use great ingredients that are prepared well.

In my opinion, General Prime Burger serves the best burgers in Brazil. BRAZIL. They don't compare…read moreto what you can get in the US but for Brazil quality, I think it is the best. There is a large selection of burgers to choose from but since I consider myself a burger connoisseur, I had to try the famous SP 450. This is a 450 g burger with cheese from Minais Gerais. I won't lie, the burger is really big and I had to cut it in half to even hold it. The meat from the burger was very good and it was cooked to medium well which is how I like my burgers. The only problem is that there is no seasoning on them. This is something that is normal to all Brazilian burgers. YOU CANNOT SEASON WITH JUST SALT!!!! However, that being said, General Prime does not over season with salt which a lot of burger joints (Bob's Burgers) like to do. The burger was accompanied with a side of fries and a strawberry milkshake. Let's just say I left satisfied. Will I ever come back? Sure. If I'm in the area and craving a burger. Will I go out of my way to come here? No. That being said, they do have the best burgers in Brazil. Just for some background, I've eaten the burgers at Madero (who claim that they have the best burgers in the world btw. FALSE!!) and the burger at General Prime is a lot better than Madero's.
