I dont really like this store but we are forced to shop here because this is the only and closest store to our home There WIFI signal is NON-existent, you can only access your phone if you are right by the registers and if you are extremely lucky. We use Sprint and the signals are fantastic except when we are in this awful grocery store. Also they used to have their own S&S brand items like mac n cheese in an orange box for .50 each which is non-existent now, 8 oz parmesan cheese for 1.50 but the price is 2.99 for 4ozs now, 16oz salad dressing for 1.25 but now its 2.99, S&S mayo was 1.50 but now its 3.59, their fresh pizzas (now frozen) used to be 5.00 but now they are 7.99 and 1/3 smaller. There are many other store brand items that we loved but they raised the prices so much, its better and cheaper to buy name brand now. The prices are aways higher than what the tag on the shelf states. For instance, the fresh/now frozen pizzas say 6.99 on the sticker inside the freezer but they ring up as 7.99 and they refuse to change the price to reflect the lower price. read more

What a terrible store! Their regular prices are higher than competitors and every week, week after week, they advertise items on sale and then don't have them in stock. I went to Stop and Shop last Sunday to buy items for my Memorial Day barbecue and they were out of everything I wanted which was on sale. I asked for rain checks and was told that they wouldn't issue them because it was a 4 day sale "while supplies last." I tried to speak with the manager (Erika) but she was not at all helpful and gave the impression that she was unconcerned and that I was bothering her. Her only reply was "Whatever we get from the warehouse." This happens almost every week - high regular prices and sale items "out of stock." Sounds like a bait and switch scheme. read more

Beware of their Coinstar machine. I just redeemed $148.00 worth of change and somehow by mistake I selected an option called Steam, thinking it was a redeemable coupon for the store. Turns out it is not a redeemable coupon at all. It is for some kind of service to buy computer games. There isn't even a phone number to contact these people. When calling the Coinstar company they tell me that they are not responsible. Can't get I. Touch with this Steam company and looks like I am screwed out of my $148.00. I can't believe the deli workers are the rudest employees, second all the fish department are expired two days ago still on the shelf. Every single department areas in the store are careless and very rude ... I hate shopping there especially with there sky high prices for immature fruits and the cold cuts are are all expired already wrapped. Many of the customers and almost all the workers I saw had there masks under there chin or no mask at all, I would call this the Wild West. They have everything and great price, plenty of room to distance. They still have you touch the screen to check out, a screen which hundreds of people have touched, it does not seem safe. I would only recommend going here if you think you are invincible and can't get COVID. read more

So disappointed in this store. It's dirty, produce moldy, fruit flies galore. Meat section scant and what's there is usually going bad due to poor refrigeration. Shelves are low in stock and never neat. Cooler displays and refrigerators leaking water constantly and the frozen foods are sometimes soft. If they get a new item in you'll never see it again. Poor management!! The only good thing about this place are the workers, they have a great crew. But how much can they do when management doesn't care? Rockaway deserves a better store. read more
