We are from out of town looking for a place to eat. We googled and found Stonehome Brewing. OMG!!! This place was amazing!!! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. Beautifully appointed and intelligently designed local brewery pouring a variety of batch made regional and national micro/macro brews. They serve cocktails, and wine in addition to craft beer. My husband is the aficionado when it comes to beer and he found several amazing beers on the flight he ordered. They have an upscale food menu with wood-fires pizza. I'm thrilled they have a cauliflower gluten free crust that is vegan as well as vegan cheese!! Any vegan and gluten free option in ND is a welcome addition. There is outdoor seating with a pond feature so don't let the location next to the busy intersection discourage you. It's a beautiful location with amazing beer, delicious food! read more

Pretty decent place to eat and the staff were very good. I ordered the prime rib special. It was not bad but was not great. My potatoes were cold upon arrival. Asked for dessert and she said coming right up and then returned with the check... Going to get some dessert elsewhere I guess. It was a decent meal. Not the greatest but by no means the worst. That title goes to not so famous Dave's. Was not able to try out their beer. Would like to though. read more

Just ordered from here on door dash. Staying in Napa and was left at my hotel without a car. I wanted something simple so I ordered the Bavarian Pretzel and a bottled beer. They didn't have the beer I wanted so my door dash driver called and we settled on something else . The Beer was cold and delicious ( Stone Delicious IPA ) but the food item arrived cold and hard... like it had been sitting out for a few days hard ! If you can't deliver for door dash , don't! I have only been to StoneHome Brewing a few times, but their food and service was always exceptional. I love their pasta and sandwiches.

This the newest hottest gig in Bismarck/Mandan! The pizza and beer were excellent! Service was excellent!

Consistently bad...Food is good, atmosphere welcoming, yet we consistently have bad experiences there. Waitstaff know little about the specials/menu, they over-charge, and we just generally leave very dissatisfied. We won't be back. Four of us stopped for a beer and appetizers and a first look at the new building. The building is great, but their microbrews not so much. They just don't measure up to the other breweries in town. We tried three different brews and were not happy with any-flat and watery, lacking the good flavor we are used to. Tried a pretzel and were disappointed with that too. Went on a Thursday night about 7:30 we got seated right away, 15 minutes later still no waitress/server. I had to stop one to take our drink order, so the pop's came but the beer took another 10 minutes, we did order the pizzas we wanted but after 30 minutes we canceled them and just paid for our drinks and left !!!!. The table across from us that had come in after us had all there drinks and there appetizer they ordered by the time the one beer we ordered came!!! Ya we paid the check and left really how hard is it we where only 3 people , just wanted 2 pizzas !!! Will not ever return !!! read more

Went here a few weeks after opening. I was excited to have a new brewery in town. The decor inside on first look is tasteful enough while trying to be comfortable, urban and modern, but falls a little short on every point. It ends up looking like someone wanted to open a "hip" sports bar within a chipolte before going bankrupt and being converted into every run of the mill suburban "brewery" that's actually a glorified Applebees with worse beer. Fortunately, the atmosphere was relaxed with attentive service. After being seated I was still getting into the first chapter of their beer list when our server promptly showed up to take our drink order. My dining companions were happy with their usual drinks, so I was kind of on the spot with a long list of new beers to choose from. I asked if the server had any recommendations, and she gave me a quick run down of their most popular beers and hesitantly recommended her favorite beer with the disclaimer of it being on the sweeter side. She knew the beers well and was happy to give me an objective crash course, so I went with her favorite beer, and I wish I could remember the name of it still. My first beer (per her recommendation) was a berry beer (or possibly a berry barley wine) and nicely balanced with sweet, fruity notes and a subdued sour finish that wasn't at all unwelcome. It was thick bodied yet well carbonated to avoid the syrupy texture I was expecting. The fruit flavors didn't bring anything cheap or artificial, and were well balanced with the malt and hops. I didn't forget I was drinking a beer, and was pleasantly surprised to find a beer done so well. My second beer was one a dining companion enjoyed' the "Maah Daah Hey", an IPA named after the famously beautiful and remote bike/backpacking trail in our state. I tried it, and found it unimpressive. IPAs are normally a safe bet with me, and if it was brewed by a friend I'd gladly drink it all night. But to me it lacked flavor and depth, seemed a little watery, and the hops were boring without bringing much freshness to the beer, and eventually bitter astringency dominated the palate without bringing much if any dryness or citrus to balance the bitterness present. Which is surprising, because every run of the mill craft brewery can provide an IPA I'd prefer. With the second beer was the food, though. I hesitate to review the food, because I can be hard to please at times, and they were only open for 3-4 weeks at this point. I had no prior expectations aside from it being a brewery, which normally make an effort to offer food that pairs well with beers, and cook with their beer. The menu played it safe, very safe, even for Bismarck, and kept it simple. Which is smart and expected, especially in new restaurants getting their sea legs. I was excited to try their pretzel, even though they charged an outrageous price for a pretzel with candied bacon. I love pretzels and beer, and it's a brewery, so it seemed to be a very safe bet. Unfortunately, the bacon was limp and a little soggy, and sticky to the touch, which may have been the humidity that day as well. I suppose you could call that candied, though. The flavor was meek and boring, the smokiness and fattiness were lost in all the sugar, which matched the pretzel's pedestrian wonderbread flavor and uninterrupted boring texture through both crust and crumb. I would have given them a pass and called it an off night, but I realized I've never really disliked a pretzel before, or candied bacon, and have had better pretzels pulled from the dirty deep fryers of dive bars. I don't say that to be rude, but I can't remember the last time I was let down by a pretzel while drinking beer. Hopefully they redeem themselves soon, because my dining companions thoroughly enjoyed the bacon but were put off by the lack of pretzel salt and beer cheese as well. Before our entrees I had a "heartless" blonde ale, and was correct in assuming it was a very unassuming beer. It was the kind of beer you'd drink at a baseball game or on a hot day, and was very mild, yet balanced well between the sweetness and malt before a clean and lightly hoppy finish. I was worried about finding a bud light clone, but it was somehow both nostalgic and unique, and while not my preferred style of beers would be a safe beer to recommend most people stepping out of their comfort zone. The prime rib however, was decidedly awful. It was still lukewarm when it arrived, but that didn't last long on the cold plate. The "crust" was almost nonexistent, lacking both texture and flavor. Which proved bad news for the rest of the roast, the fat of course was criminally bland as well, and moving past the crust of the roast the meat was perfectly cooked and good quality. The Jus tasted generic and premade, and was void of any body, depth or fat from the roast itself. I'd forgive it all for a good pretzel, though. read more

if you like hanging out in corporate banking decor, this is a great place to go. staff and ambiance are pretentious, beer is sub-standard. i'd recommend going to the blarney stone before i'd go here...save your money! support a local business, not a bank :) read more
