I went to several different apartments that had the same size stated but this open floor plan makes the place seem so much bigger. The property is 11 years old, as stated by the young lady giving me the tour. It is clean and well cared for. It seems fresh and lots of light. There is an extra cost, $30 (? Left the info at home) per month, to rent an apartment that has a balcony. They charge $50 a month for washer/dryer rental, so it is just cheaper to buy your own. Over all it is the best one I have seen so far. This might be the place. :)

I asked the apartment manager who owned the apartment complex. She refused to tell me; she said it was owned by a private individual. One of my other neighbors told me that she told them the same thing when she asked who owned the complex. When I first moved in, there was a couple below me who were alcoholics and fought constantly. They were extremely noisy and disruptive. When I complain to the manager she just said well you can move to another apartment here. She refused to deal with the problem. I told her I just paid for moving and I did not want to have additional expenses.

I would highly recommend Orchard Village Apartments to anyone. I have had a fantastic experience…read more The staff is friendly and readily available if you need anything. The amenities are beautiful and my apartment is perfect! This place offers more than just a place to live, it is a community! Orchard Village Apartment Complex is also going above and beyond during this pandemic to provide hope and make people happier. One event that they did was a gardening event. They had flower pots and flowers six feet apart. People could grab a pot and a flower to plant at their homes. When I went on a walk later in the week I saw so many flowers on people's door steps and porches and it was such a comforting feeling. Orchard Village also did a Cinco de Mayo social distance event. They had chips and salsa, tacos, and drinks. There was a live dj and people could sit far apart in chairs and enjoy the music. It built such a sense of community during such a difficult time. Orchard Village Apartments goes above and beyond to care for those that live there. I would highly suggest living here to anyone.

They have popcorn ceilings and since these were built in the 70s they it has asbestos on them but they dont tell you that. I was told before I moved in that the refrigerator would have an ice maker and guess what after I signed the lease they said they couldn't do it. Its a small thing but when you have RA it isnt so small. Winter snow removal sucks. They dont leave a place to cross over to your car you have to walk through a mound of snow tiget to it. I fell and called management and was told the would take care of it and they never did. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I am so disappointed with this place.

DO NOT LIVE HERE We…read morelived in this apartment complex and encountered black mold in one unit and a brown recluse infestation in another -- both of which are serious health hazards. We are both very clean people, and these issues were absolutely not due to tenant negligence. After reporting the mold in our first unit, we were moved to a second -- only to discover brown recluse spiders there. Management failed to address either issue adequately. We personally had the mold tested, and it was confirmed to be Stachybotrys, a toxic black mold known to cause severe respiratory problems and allergic reactions. Brown recluse spiders are venomous and potentially life-threatening. All of the spider traps were put out by me, not management. The final straw was when I found a live brown recluse in our bed -- even though the bed was pulled away from the wall and the entire room was lined with traps. I also paid out of pocket to have a professional spray the interior of our unit, since their pest control provider only sprayed near the front door. This complex is unsafe, poorly managed, and simply not worth the risk. As a tenant, you have virtually no rights in Missouri, making it even harder to get protection or recourse when serious health hazards are ignored. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I've included a photo of a list of additional issues we experienced -- all submitted to management, and none were addressed. To make matters worse, we were forced to pay to break our lease, as they refused to let us out without a penalty -- despite these major safety issues. Stay far away from this complex.

We have been so pleasantly surprised at how much we LOVE apartment living at Willowbend during this major transition. The apartments are charming, well maintained and clean. We LOVE taking walks, the grounds are beautifully landscaped with sidewalk lined trees and flowers. Willowbend is super dog friendly; and the staff, Alexis & Terry are very welcoming and helpful. The clubhouse, tennis courts, patio/pool, and workout room are GREAT; such a fun place to go on the weekends or after work with our two boys. Willowbend has made this hectic transition enjoyable and fun for our us. We will have nothing but fond memories. Ashley

Neighbors here are oh so friendly…read more.. Being 21, starting my own business I work long hours as a permanent make up artist. I also bring my dog with me as much as possible. On my days off I do trainings from home and try to do meetings from home if i can. He is very well taken care of I can assure you. I have cameras set up in my unit to check on him when i'm not able to be home. Correct me if i'm wrong, dogs do bark? I reviewed my cameras the day I got this note on my door from a nasty, sad human. My dog barked around 6:45-7:00 at my door (someone was there) He then laid back down and then barked again when he heard my car lock because he know the sound of mommas car Truly praying for whomever felt the need to harass me. This distasteful, mean, and arrogant letter shows your character. Noise here is a HUGE issue. From the noise above me throughout all hours of the night management has shown no mercy. Other people's dogs barking also which i don't complain about because it's normal and things happen!! Save yourself the trouble and the TREMENDOUS HEADACHE, look else where!

I recently saw some negative reviews about the building and felt it necessary to offer my opinion…read more The past year has been a struggle for everyone and I know some people in the building feel they aren't getting what they are paying for. Am I frustrated at times, of course I am, but do we really think these rules in reference to gyms and pools are being enforced just to upset and aggravate the tenants?? I mean seriously, everyone has their opinions on the safety protocol for COVID but I would much rather live in a building that is erring on the side of safety and following proper protocol. I have had several friends and 2 family members who have died or been seriously ill from COVID and I am willing to sacrifice some of the luxuries/amenities in life to stay well and keep others healthy too. I am sure the same people that complain about not being able to bring a guest to the pool would be the first to complain if the quota was over and couldn't use it because other tenants had their guests there. It's common sense the intent is to make sure the paying tenants of the building have access! I know some people in this building are previous homeowners and maybe aren't used to apartment living and don't do well in this type of setting. You have to learn to accommodate and adapt in life and that has never rung more true than in the past year. I bought my own collapsible cart that I use when going grocery shopping etc. It is not only convenient for me but I feel safer knowing it's clean & sanitized & I don't have to worry about the fact that some inconsiderate neighbor hasn't returned the cart they used. I am going to go out on a limb here and also make the assumption the same people that complain about pool, gym etc. are the same entitled tenants that feel they have the right to roam the public hallways and elevators without masks! It's that inconsiderate, selfish behavior that makes many of us in the building wish you hadn't signed another lease! We all have had to give up a lot over the past year and we're living in closer quarters than we're accustomed to, but let's not take it out on people who are just doing their jobs the best they know how in this weird, new normal we live in. The staff here does a phenomenal job and keep smiles on their faces all while I'm sure under enormous pressure and hearing a lot of negative comments. I've lived in many different apartment and condo buildings in my life and I love it here! I am so sick and tired of hearing people complain about the jobs these "front line" workers do. How would you like to go to work everyday wearing a mask for 8 hours or more and then have people complain they can't get the things they were accustomed to getting before and that it is somehow your fault? Grow up people, we are in the midst of a pandemic whether you believe it or not! Some people have lost their jobs, their homes, their family members-I think you can go without a remote control or your friends at the pool!
