Law Offices of John T Orcutt - John T. Orcutt - Bankruptcy Attorney

Law Offices of John T Orcutt

I needed a Bankruptcy Lawyer that I could afford and I found John T. Orcutt Law Office on the…read moreinternet. They walked me through what I could expect and quoted me a price that was inside of what I could afford. I was set up with a Paralegal, Joseph Nichols. He was was so kind and helpful. He assisted me at each time I sent a request, if I had a problem with something that was presented to me, he would work with me on it. I am very pleased with the assistance that I have received from their Law firm. I would recommend this Law office at any time.

After spending 5 years rebuilding credit while in the chapter 13 from John Orcutt office, we had an extremely difficult time getting the mortgage reconciled upon our discharge. The mortgage company was giving us a hard time with runaround and red tape making us "current". There were clerical errors involved however they still would not work with us. We sought guidance after the discharge from John Orcutt's office and based on our situation we were put in contact with Jeremy Harn in the Fayetteville office. Spent over an hour consulting us on the phone and giving us options. These options went from best case to worse case and he discussed all of the possible outcomes. We left off with Jeremy feeling wiser with how we should proceed. Upon doing so and heeding his expert advise, we were not only able to maintain perfect credit, we were able to take financial steps successfully and accomplish goals that we couldn't even had done before filing! Jeremy literally gave us the ability and knowledge after FIVE years of hard work to get us where we are. The solution he gave us as one of our options literally changed our lives. We put in the 5 years of hard work, and then got a kick in the gut with a huge line of red tape. Jeremy helped us to cut the red tape and advance on better than what we started. He is a huge reflection of what it means to understand people's goals and ambitions and make sure he is compassionate with each unique scenario. If Mr Orcutt reads this, please make sure he extends sincere appreciation to Jeremy and all he has done for our family.

Initial contact proves them to be rude, uncaring, and very nonchalant. This is a family law office,…read morethey should be at least a little bit pleasant to speak with. They also misrepresent their prices and then take no accountability when called out. Stephanie was particularly unkind and confrontational. Avoid this place.

I'd ask Google to reach out to consumers who are trying to warn other consumers about businesses that rip off the public. I am more than happy to share proof of being a client. ALSO TO THE PUBLIC - KNOW THAT THERE IS A FEE BOARD THAT DEALS WITH CROOKS LIKE THIS. I was assigned the attorney of Margaret Decker and I was billed $12,000+ for not even 2 months work. The game being played was stall and delay, ask repeatedly for information, have client call/text (each time billed), invoice for supposed client meetings (never advised to the clients until seen on the bill), coordinate to the benefit of the opposing side while never telling you their Sodoma client, secure credit card so they can bill and then post payments against your card and basically it's legal theft of people's hard earned money. In the end I represented myself pro se for a 3-day trial while these people got away with theft. Hidden marital assets were ignored, fraud against the court was ignored, failures on the opposing side for discovery compliance was ignored. It's all about empty promises to get you to sign retainer. get your money and then you are chasing them all day long. My now ex at the conclusion of the trail made it clear that all the attorneys I hired in Rock Hill were bought off so I would get nothing from the marital settlement. This attorney filed a notice of appearance and I met her at a hearing on her filed motion to withdraw. 3 law firms in total at a cost of more than $33,000 and they didn't know how to do the basics in family law. I guess the opposing side's attorney was so deficient that he needed the assistance of firms I retained to prevail in court. Know that there's all kinds of back room deal going on with the good ole boys club. Bottom line is that if you are a woman and black, you have no chance at representation even when you have the money to pay.... not surprised as it is the South. This is the game being played in Rock Hill, SC.
